Systems Accountant

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Systems Accountant to join our finance team. In this critical role, you will serve as the owner of our finance data and systems infrastructure, ensuring seamless automation across our platform, Metabase, SaaS applications, and Microsoft Dynamics. Your responsibilities will include leading end-to-end finance system implementations, enforcing robust system controls, and maintaining the highest standards of data integrity—99.5% across all sources—with a commitment to 48-hour corrective action for any discrepancies. Key Responsibilities

• Financial Data Pipeline Management: Map, monitor, and maintain automated financial data pipelines connecting the core platform, Metabase, Microsoft Dynamics, and supporting SaaS applications, including procurement, payroll, and expense-management tools. Ensure seamless data flow and real-time accuracy.
• Finance System Leadership: Act as the primary Finance Project Lead for new software implementations, module upgrades, and system enhancements. Define business requirements, design future-state process maps, and lead cross-departmental rollouts to drive digital transformation initiatives.
• Data Integrity & Migration: Develop and execute rigorous User Acceptance Testing (UAT) scripts and data-migration protocols to ensure zero data loss or misalignment during deployments, schema changes, or system upgrades. Maintain the highest standards of accuracy and reliability.
• System Administration & Controls: Serve as the super-user and administrator for Microsoft Dynamics and peripheral finance applications. Design, implement, and enforce system controls, user-access mapping, and strict Segregation of Duties (SoD) to mitigate risks and ensure compliance.
• Issue Resolution & Automation: Investigate and resolve data-sync failures, transaction-processing errors, and ledger mismatches with a 48-hour corrective action commitment. Proactively identify opportunities to automate manual workarounds and enhance operational efficiency.
• Collaboration with BI & Data Teams: Partner closely with the Business Intelligence (BI) team to align Metabase data structures with accounting logic and the Chart of Accounts. Ensure 99.5% data integrity across all sources and support data-driven decision-making.

Qualifications & Experience

To excel in this role, you should possess a strong blend of financial acumen and technical expertise. The ideal candidate will have:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Information Systems, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in finance systems, enterprise resource planning (ERP), or financial data management, with a proven track record in system integrations and data validation.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 or an equivalent ERP system, including configuration, administration, and troubleshooting.
• Expertise in developing financial reports, dashboards, and data quality controls to support strategic decision-making.
• A passion for finance automation and digital transformation, with the ability to drive process improvements and innovation within the organization.
