Senior Network Administrator

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Network Administrator to design, implement, and maintain a robust and secure network infrastructure that supports our Security Operations Center (SOC) monitoring, detection, and response capabilities across all banking environments. In this critical role, you will ensure seamless end-to-end connectivity for SOC platforms, including SIEM, SOAR, NDR, EDR, and threat intelligence integrations, while adhering to stringent regulatory and compliance standards. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise in enterprise networking, security controls, and incident management, with a proven ability to enhance network resilience, performance, and security posture.

Key Responsibilities

• Network Infrastructure Design and Management: Develop, deploy, and manage secure network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, data center, cloud connectivity, SD-WAN, VPNs, and secure remote access solutions, to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• Security Controls and Compliance: Configure and maintain advanced network security controls such as Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFW), Intrusion Prevention/Intrusion Detection Systems (IPS/IDS), Web Application Firewalls (WAF), DNS security, proxy solutions, Network Access Control (NAC), micro-segmentation, and Zero Trust architecture. Ensure alignment with SAMA Cybersecurity Framework, NCA ECC, PDPL, and NDMO data governance requirements.
• SOC Integration and Monitoring: Enable and optimize log forwarding, NetFlow, packet capture (PCAP), and telemetry feeds to SOC tools like Splunk, QRadar, or Microsoft Sentinel. Collaborate closely with SOC teams to enhance detection capabilities and streamline incident response processes.
• Incident and Change Management: Support ITIL-based Incident, Problem, and Change Management processes to ensure timely resolution of network-related security incidents. Participate in cyber incident response efforts, including containment actions, network isolation, and forensic data collection.
• High Availability and Resilience: Maintain high availability, redundancy, and resilience of network services in accordance with Disaster Recovery (DR) and Business Continuity Planning (BCP) requirements. Conduct regular failover testing and implement preventive measures to mitigate risks.
• Vendor and Third-Party Coordination: Collaborate with vendors and service providers to evaluate, deploy, and troubleshoot network solutions, upgrades, and vulnerability remediation. Manage SLAs and ensure seamless third-party integrations.
• Documentation and Automation: Develop and maintain comprehensive network diagrams, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), configurations, and operational documentation to ensure audit readiness. Automate network monitoring, alerting, and configuration management using scripting and orchestration tools.
• Performance and Security Monitoring: Continuously monitor network performance and security posture using industry-leading tools such as SolarWinds, PRTG, or equivalent solutions. Proactively identify and address potential vulnerabilities or performance bottlenecks.

Qualifications and Experience

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or a related field.
• Professional Experience: Minimum of 5-8 years of hands-on experience in network administration within banking or other highly regulated environments.
• Technical Proficiency: Extensive experience with enterprise-grade networking and security technologies, including Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortinet, Check Point, F5, and advanced switching and routing solutions. Familiarity with integrating network infrastructure with SOC tools such as SIEM (Splunk, QRadar, Microsoft Sentinel) and Network Detection and Response (NDR) solutions is essential.
• Regulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding of secure network design, segmentation, VPN technologies, firewall rule management, and compliance frameworks such as SAMA, NCA ECC, PDPL, and NDMO.
• Cloud and Hybrid Environments: Exposure to cloud networking (Azure/AWS), hybrid connectivity, and secure cloud architectures is highly desirable.
• Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities, strong communication skills, and the capacity to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Experience in vendor coordination, SLA management, and third-party integration support is a plus.
