Mechanical Engineer - Manufacturing

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Mechanical Engineer – Manufacturing to join our dynamic team at Elbait Consultants in Jeddah. In this pivotal role, you will play a critical part in optimizing and advancing our manufacturing processes, ensuring operational excellence, and driving innovation within our production facilities. Key Responsibilities

• Process Optimization: Analyze existing manufacturing processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement. Develop and implement innovative solutions to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and improve overall operational efficiency.
• Equipment Design and Maintenance: Design, modify, and maintain mechanical systems, machinery, and equipment to ensure optimal performance and reliability. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot technical issues and implement preventive maintenance strategies.
• Project Management: Lead and participate in engineering projects from conception to completion, including feasibility studies, cost analysis, and resource allocation. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Quality Assurance: Develop and enforce stringent quality control measures to maintain high standards of product integrity and compliance with specifications. Work closely with quality assurance teams to address non-conformities and implement corrective actions.
• Collaboration and Leadership: Foster a collaborative work environment by liaising with production, maintenance, and engineering teams to align objectives and drive collective success. Mentor junior engineers and technicians, providing guidance and support to enhance their professional development.
• Compliance and Safety: Ensure all manufacturing activities adhere to local and international safety regulations, environmental standards, and industry best practices. Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments to mitigate potential hazards.
• Technical Documentation: Prepare and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including engineering drawings, reports, and manuals. Ensure all records are accurate, up-to-date, and easily accessible to relevant stakeholders.

Qualifications and Skills

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field from an accredited institution. A Master’s degree or professional certifications (e.g., PMP, Six Sigma) are advantageous.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in mechanical engineering, with at least 3 years in a manufacturing environment. Experience in the automotive, aerospace, or industrial sectors is highly desirable.
• Technical Proficiency: Profound knowledge of CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks), finite element analysis (FEA), and manufacturing technologies (e.g., CNC machining, 3D printing). Familiarity with ERP and MES systems is a plus.
• Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities with a data-driven approach to decision-making. Proficiency in statistical analysis and lean manufacturing methodologies.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Arabic. Ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences effectively.
• Soft Skills: Demonstrated leadership, teamwork, and adaptability in fast-paced environments. Commitment to professional growth and staying abreast of industry trends and technological advancements.
