Role Overview

The Merchandising Supervisor plays a pivotal role in driving product visibility, optimizing assortment, and ensuring stock availability across retail channels to maximize sales performance. This full-time, on-site position is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and requires a hands-on approach to merchandising excellence. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing strategic merchandising layouts, collaborating closely with sales and supply chain teams, and maintaining rigorous adherence to brand standards. By analyzing sales trends, monitoring inventory levels, and evaluating product performance, the Merchandising Supervisor will recommend data-driven adjustments to pricing strategies, promotional initiatives, and display configurations to enhance customer engagement and drive revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Merchandising Strategy & Execution: Develop and execute merchandising plans that optimize product placement, enhance shelf appeal, and align with company objectives. Ensure consistent brand representation across all retail outlets.
• Inventory & Stock Management: Monitor inventory levels, track product movement, and coordinate with supply chain teams to prevent stockouts or overstock situations. Maintain accurate records and report discrepancies promptly.
• Sales Analysis & Performance Optimization: Analyze sales data to identify trends, evaluate product performance, and recommend strategic adjustments to pricing, promotions, and display strategies to boost sales and profitability.
• Team Leadership & Training: Provide guidance, training, and support to merchandising staff to ensure adherence to best practices, brand standards, and operational efficiency. Foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Build and maintain strong relationships with retail partners, store personnel, and internal teams to facilitate seamless execution of merchandising initiatives and marketing campaigns.
• Promotional Support: Assist in the planning and implementation of marketing and promotional activities, ensuring alignment with merchandising strategies and maximizing customer engagement.
• Compliance & Standards: Ensure all merchandising activities comply with company policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices. Conduct regular audits to maintain high standards of presentation and hygiene.

• Customer Service Orientation: A strong commitment to maintaining positive relationships with store personnel and ensuring a high-quality shopping experience for end customers.
• Retail & Merchandising Expertise: Hands-on experience in managing in-store displays, inventory levels, and product placement strategies within the food or FMCG sector.
• Operational Agility: Ability to work on-site in Riyadh, manage multiple retail locations, and travel locally as required to support merchandising initiatives.
• Organizational & Technical Proficiency: Strong organizational skills, keen attention to detail, and proficiency in using office and reporting tools such as Microsoft Excel and POS systems.
• Educational Background: A diploma or bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is highly advantageous.
