System Administrator & Network Administrator

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated System Administrator & Network Administrator to join our dynamic team at Mada Gypsum, based in Yanbu' al Bahr. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the seamless operation, maintenance, and optimization of our IT infrastructure, ensuring high availability, security, and performance across all systems and networks. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, exceptional problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to delivering excellence in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities

• System Administration: Manage, monitor, and maintain enterprise-level servers, workstations, and storage systems to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and security. This includes installing, configuring, and updating operating systems, software applications, and patches.
• Network Administration: Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of robust network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, VPN, firewalls, routers, and switches. Ensure network stability, security, and efficient data flow to support business operations.
• Security & Compliance: Implement and enforce security policies, access controls, and best practices to safeguard sensitive data and IT assets. Conduct regular audits, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Troubleshooting & Support: Provide timely and effective resolution of technical issues, including hardware failures, software glitches, and network outages. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to diagnose and address complex problems, minimizing downtime and disruptions.
• Backup & Disaster Recovery: Develop, implement, and test backup and disaster recovery plans to ensure data integrity and business continuity. Monitor backup systems and perform regular recovery drills to validate their effectiveness.
• User Support & Training: Serve as a primary point of contact for IT-related inquiries, providing guidance and training to end-users on system usage, security protocols, and best practices. Foster a culture of technical awareness and accountability within the organization.
• Vendor & Stakeholder Management: Liaise with external vendors, service providers, and internal stakeholders to procure IT equipment, negotiate contracts, and ensure timely delivery of services. Maintain accurate documentation of all IT assets, configurations, and incidents.

Qualifications & Skills

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CCNA, MCSA, or equivalent) are highly desirable.
• Proven experience (3+ years) in system and network administration, with a strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and routing protocols.
• Proficiency in managing Windows Server, Linux, and virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V). Experience with cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure) is a plus.
• Hands-on experience with network security tools, firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and SIEM solutions.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks in a high-pressure setting.
• Fluency in English is required; Arabic language skills are advantageous but not mandatory.
