Director of Engineering - Multi-Property

We are seeking a seasoned professional to oversee the engineering and maintenance operations of multiple properties, ensuring safety, security, and asset protection while maximizing financial performance. This role requires a strategic mindset and proven leadership skills to manage budgets, capital expenditure projects, preventative maintenance, and energy conservation initiatives.

The ideal candidate will possess a high level of property maintenance knowledge and experience in managing multiple buildings and physical plants. They will be responsible for maintaining standards and regulatory requirements, leading the emergency response team, and coaching engineering leadership teams to achieve operational excellence.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing engineering operations and budgets, including controllable expenses and long-term preventative maintenance plans.
• Maintaining engineering standards and ensuring compliance with state, local, and federal regulations.
• Managing profitability by monitoring operating statements, managing payroll, and participating in budgeting processes.
• Supervising construction projects to ensure timely completion within budgetary guidelines.
• Ensuring the integration of departmental goals in game plans for each unit and communicating clear and consistent messages to produce desired results.

Candidates should possess a high school diploma or GED with 6 years of experience in engineering and maintenance, or a 2-year degree with 4 years of experience, along with technical training in HVAC-R/Electrical/Plumbing.
