Job Overview

We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Accountant to join our dynamic team at El Seif Engineering Contracting Company, based in Saudi Arabia. Key Responsibilities

• Financial Record Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including general ledger entries, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processing. Ensure all transactions are properly documented and reconciled in accordance with company policies and accounting standards.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports. Collaborate with senior management to analyze financial performance and identify trends or areas for improvement.
• Compliance and Audit Support: Ensure full compliance with local and international accounting regulations, tax laws, and financial reporting standards. Assist internal and external auditors during audits by providing necessary documentation and clarifications, and address any findings or recommendations promptly.
• Budgeting and Forecasting: Participate in the development of annual budgets and financial forecasts. Monitor actual expenditures against budgeted amounts, identify variances, and recommend corrective actions to optimize financial performance.
• Tax Planning and Compliance: Oversee the preparation and submission of tax returns, ensuring timely and accurate filings. Stay abreast of changes in tax legislation and advise the company on potential tax implications of business decisions.
• Internal Controls: Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and mitigate financial risks. Regularly review financial processes to enhance efficiency and reduce opportunities for fraud or errors.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including project managers, procurement, and human resources, to ensure seamless financial operations across all departments. Provide financial guidance and support to non-financial stakeholders as needed.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A professional certification such as CPA, CMA, or ACCA is highly desirable.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within the construction or engineering sector.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and financial modeling.
• Strong understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and local regulatory requirements in Saudi Arabia.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
• High level of integrity, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Fluency in English and Arabic is preferred, with strong written and verbal communication skills in both languages.
