Reporting to the QHSE Manager, you will be responsible for conducting inspections, managing documentation, delivering targeted training, and supporting the implementation of robust safety protocols. Key Responsibilities
As a Safety Coordinator at Mnzil, your core responsibilities will include:
- Site Inspections and Compliance: Conduct regular and systematic inspection rounds across workforce housing sites to verify adherence to safety standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies. Identify potential hazards and ensure corrective actions are implemented promptly.
- Documentation and Reporting: Prepare, track, and follow up on Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and field visit reports to document safety observations, incidents, and corrective measures. Maintain accurate and up-to-date technical documentation, including the Master Register, in both Arabic and English.
- Training and Awareness: Organize and deliver safety awareness and operational training sessions for workers, supervisors, and site personnel. Topics include general safety practices, first aid, proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and fire safety protocols.
- Fire Safety and Utilities Management: Support the implementation of comprehensive fire safety plans in accordance with NFPA 10 and NFPA 72 standards. Assist in monitoring water quality and utilities to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Act as a liaison between Mnzil, clients, and service providers to address safety observations, technical complaints, and ensure alignment on safety expectations and corrective actions.
- Policy Development and Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the development, review, and updating of safety procedures and policies to maintain compliance with ISO 45001 (Occupational Health and Safety) and ISO 9001 (Quality Management) standards.
Your Qualifications and Experience
To excel in this role, you will bring the following qualifications and attributes:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field from a recognized institution.
- NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC) or equivalent certification is required; IOSH certification is considered a valuable asset.
- Solid understanding of ISO 45001 and ISO 9001 standards and their practical application in safety management systems.
- Minimum of one year of relevant experience in safety coordination, preferably within workforce housing, residential facilities, or facilities management environments.
- Proven experience delivering field-based safety training and engaging with diverse groups of workers and supervisors.
- Strong technical writing skills with a track record of preparing clear, concise, and accurate reports, including NCRs and inspection findings.
- Fluency in both Arabic and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Exceptional organizational abilities, particularly in managing documentation, records, and archiving systems.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word for data analysis, report generation, and documentation purposes.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, travel between sites as required, and adapt to the demands of a fast-paced, on-site environment.
