Key Responsibilities

• Project Scheduling and Planning: Develop, maintain, and update detailed project schedules using advanced tools such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar software to ensure timely project delivery.
• Resource Allocation: Optimize resource allocation, including labor, materials, and equipment, to maximize efficiency and minimize project delays.
• Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to proactively address challenges that may impact project timelines or budgets.
• Stakeholder Communication: Serve as a liaison between project teams, clients, and senior management to provide accurate progress reports, address concerns, and ensure alignment with project objectives.
• Compliance and Documentation: Ensure all project activities adhere to regulatory requirements, safety standards, and company policies while maintaining comprehensive documentation for audits and reviews.
• Performance Analysis: Monitor project performance through KPIs, variance analysis, and trend assessments to recommend corrective actions and improve future planning efforts.
• Team Leadership: Mentor junior planning engineers and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, architects, and contractors, to foster a cohesive and productive work environment.

Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, you must possess a strong academic background and extensive professional experience in project planning and engineering. The ideal candidate will meet the following criteria:

• Education: A bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is required. A master’s degree or professional certifications (e.g., PMP, PMI-SP) is highly desirable.
• Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in project planning, scheduling, and control within the engineering or construction industry, with at least 3-5 years in a senior or leadership role.
• Technical Proficiency: Expertise in project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project) and strong analytical skills to interpret data and generate actionable insights.
• Industry Knowledge: In-depth understanding of project delivery methodologies, industry best practices, and regulatory frameworks relevant to infrastructure, energy, or construction projects.
• Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities to articulate complex planning concepts to stakeholders at all levels and facilitate productive discussions.
