In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing middleware solutions using IBM App Connect Enterprise (formerly known as IBM Integration Bus). Key Responsibilities

As a Senior IBM App Connect Developer, your core responsibilities will include:

• Solution Architecture & Design: Develop comprehensive middleware architectures that align with business requirements, leveraging IBM App Connect Enterprise to facilitate secure and scalable integrations between disparate systems, applications, and data sources.
• Integration Development: Design, code, and deploy integration flows using IBM App Connect Enterprise, ensuring high performance, reliability, and adherence to industry best practices. This includes configuring message flows, adapters, and transformation logic to meet complex business needs.
• Performance Optimization: Analyze and optimize integration solutions to enhance throughput, reduce latency, and minimize resource consumption. Implement caching strategies, parallel processing, and load balancing techniques to maximize system efficiency.
• Security & Compliance: Implement robust security measures, including encryption, authentication, and authorization protocols, to safeguard sensitive data during transit and at rest. Ensure all integrations comply with relevant regulatory standards and organizational policies.
• Collaboration & Mentorship: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including architects, developers, and business stakeholders, to gather requirements, provide technical guidance, and mentor junior developers. Foster a collaborative environment that promotes knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
• Troubleshooting & Support: Diagnose and resolve complex integration issues, including performance bottlenecks, connectivity failures, and data inconsistencies. Provide timely resolutions to minimize downtime and ensure uninterrupted business operations.
• Documentation & Training: Create detailed technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, integration specifications, and deployment guides. Conduct training sessions and workshops to upskill team members on IBM App Connect Enterprise and middleware best practices.

Qualifications & Skills

To excel in this role, you must possess the following qualifications and technical competencies:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced degrees or relevant certifications (e.g., IBM Certified Solution Developer – App Connect Enterprise) are highly desirable.
• Technical Expertise: Proven experience (5+ years) in developing middleware solutions using IBM App Connect Enterprise (or IBM Integration Bus). Proficiency in other integration tools such as IBM MQ, Apache Kafka, or MuleSoft is a plus.
• Programming Skills: Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Java, XSLT, or SQL, with hands-on experience in scripting and automation.
• Middleware Knowledge: Deep understanding of middleware concepts, including message brokers, ESB (Enterprise Service Bus), REST/SOAP APIs, and microservices architectures.
• Problem-Solving: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex integration issues and propose effective solutions.
• Communication & Leadership: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Demonstrated leadership qualities with a passion for mentoring and knowledge transfer.
• Industry Awareness: Familiarity with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in middleware and enterprise integration.
