CodeNinja Inc, a forward-thinking technology solutions provider based in Saudi Arabia, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior PL/SQL Developer to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing PL/SQL procedures, functions, and packages to support our Operational Data Store (ODS) infrastructure. Your expertise will be instrumental in enhancing data integrity, performance, and scalability across our enterprise systems.

As a Senior PL/SQL Developer, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including database administrators, business analysts, and software engineers, to ensure seamless integration of data solutions that align with organizational objectives. Your deep understanding of PL/SQL and relational database management will drive the development of efficient, maintainable, and secure code, while adhering to industry best practices and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities

• ODS Development & Optimization: Lead the design, development, and optimization of PL/SQL scripts, stored procedures, functions, and triggers to support the ODS environment, ensuring high performance and reliability.
• Data Integration & ETL Processes: Develop and maintain ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes using PL/SQL to facilitate seamless data migration, transformation, and synchronization across systems.
• Database Performance Tuning: Analyze and optimize SQL queries, indexes, and database structures to enhance system efficiency, reduce latency, and improve overall performance.
• Code Review & Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards, best practices, and security protocols, while mentoring junior developers to elevate team capabilities.
• Collaboration & Stakeholder Management: Work in tandem with business stakeholders to gather requirements, translate business needs into technical solutions, and provide clear documentation and updates on project progress.
• Troubleshooting & Issue Resolution: Diagnose and resolve complex database-related issues, including performance bottlenecks, data inconsistencies, and system errors, to minimize downtime and ensure operational continuity.
• Compliance & Security: Ensure all PL/SQL developments comply with organizational policies, data governance frameworks, and regulatory requirements, including GDPR, HIPAA, or other relevant standards.

Qualifications & Skills

To excel in this role, you must possess the following qualifications and competencies:

• Technical Proficiency: Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in PL/SQL development, with a strong command of Oracle Database technologies, including PL/SQL, SQL, and Oracle-specific features.
• ODS & ETL Expertise: Proven experience in designing and implementing Operational Data Store (ODS) solutions, as well as developing ETL processes using PL/SQL or related tools.
• Database Optimization: In-depth knowledge of database performance tuning, query optimization, and indexing strategies to enhance system efficiency.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Exceptional analytical and troubleshooting abilities to identify root causes of database issues and implement effective solutions.
• Collaboration & Communication: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment, articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, and mentor junior team members.
• Certifications & Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Relevant certifications such as Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) or Oracle Database SQL Certified Associate are highly desirable.
• Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with data warehousing, business intelligence, and enterprise reporting tools is a plus.
