Internal Audit Manager - Hospitality & Hotels | Saudi Arabia

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Internal Audit Manager to join our dynamic team at RAWAJ, a leading player in the hospitality and hotel industry across Saudi Arabia. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for overseeing and enhancing our internal audit functions, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and driving operational excellence within our diverse portfolio of luxury hotels and hospitality assets. Key Responsibilities

• Audit Planning and Execution: Develop and implement a comprehensive internal audit plan that aligns with RAWAJ’s strategic objectives and regulatory requirements. Conduct risk assessments, internal controls evaluations, and compliance audits across multiple hotel properties and departments.
• Financial and Operational Audits: Lead financial audits to verify the accuracy of financial statements, transactions, and reporting processes. Assess operational efficiencies, identify cost-saving opportunities, and recommend enhancements to internal controls and governance frameworks.
• Risk Management: Collaborate with senior management to identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with hospitality operations, including fraud, cybersecurity, and third-party vendor risks. Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to safeguard RAWAJ’s assets and reputation.
• Compliance and Governance: Ensure adherence to local and international regulatory standards, including Saudi Arabia’s corporate governance codes and hospitality industry best practices. Monitor changes in regulations and proactively adjust audit plans to address emerging compliance risks.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership, providing actionable insights and recommendations to improve operational performance and financial integrity. Foster strong relationships with department heads, external auditors, and regulatory bodies to facilitate seamless audit processes.
• Team Leadership: Mentor and lead a team of internal auditors, delegating tasks, and providing guidance to ensure high-quality audit deliverables. Promote a culture of professional development and continuous learning within the audit function.
• Reporting and Communication: Prepare detailed audit reports highlighting findings, root causes, and remediation plans. Present audit results to senior management and the Board of Directors, ensuring clarity and transparency in communication.

Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional certification such as CIA (Certified Internal Auditor), CPA (Certified Public Accountant), or ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) is highly desirable.
• Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in internal auditing, with at least 3-5 years in a managerial or leadership role within the hospitality, hotel, or service industry. Prior experience in a multinational or large-scale organization is a plus.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in audit software (e.g., ACL, TeamMate), ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle), and advanced Excel skills. Strong knowledge of IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards) and Saudi Arabia’s corporate governance regulations is essential.
• Soft Skills: Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and influence stakeholders at all levels. Fluency in English is required; Arabic language skills are advantageous.
