Key Responsibilities

As an Electrical Engineer at Majd Yanbu Industrial Company, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and maintaining the electrical infrastructure that powers our operations. Your responsibilities will include:

• System Design and Installation: Develop, install, and maintain low-voltage (LV) and medium-voltage (MV) electrical systems, including switchgear, transformers, motor control centers, and distribution panels, to support the copper rod production line.
• Commissioning and Startup Support: Provide technical expertise during the commissioning and startup phases of electrical equipment, ensuring seamless integration and operational readiness.
• Preventive Maintenance Programs: Design and implement comprehensive electrical preventive maintenance programs, including inspection schedules and predictive maintenance techniques, to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
• Troubleshooting and Fault Resolution: Diagnose and resolve electrical faults in production equipment, motor drives, and control systems, ensuring minimal disruption to manufacturing operations.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure full adherence to international standards such as IEC, as well as local regulations set by the Saudi Electricity Company (SEC), and other relevant industrial electrical codes.
• Collaboration with Automation Teams: Work closely with automation and instrumentation teams to integrate PLC and SCADA systems, enhancing process control and operational efficiency.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain precise and up-to-date electrical documentation, including as-built drawings, single-line diagrams, and technical reports, to support audits and future modifications.

Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and experience:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution.
• 3 to 6 years of hands-on experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment, with a strong focus on LV/MV power systems.
• Proven expertise in motor drives, particularly variable frequency drives (VFDs), and industrial control systems.
• Familiarity with PLC/SCADA systems is highly advantageous and will be considered a strong asset.
• In-depth knowledge of SEC regulations and IEC electrical standards, ensuring compliance with all applicable safety and operational guidelines.
• Proficiency in electrical design software such as AutoCAD Electrical or EPLAN is a plus and will enhance your ability to contribute effectively to the team.
