The ideal candidate will possess a rare combination of deep financial expertise, strategic foresight, and exceptional leadership capabilities to guide our finance team and the broader organization toward financial excellence.

Key Responsibilities

The Head of Finance will oversee a broad spectrum of financial functions, ensuring the department operates as a high-performance engine that fuels the organization’s success. Your core responsibilities will include:

  • Strategic Financial Leadership: Develop and implement long-term financial strategies that are closely aligned with the organization’s mission, market dynamics, and growth objectives. Your role will involve conducting rigorous financial analysis to identify opportunities, mitigate risks, and drive value creation across all business segments.
  • Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A): Spearhead comprehensive financial planning processes, including annual budgeting, multi-year forecasting, and dynamic financial modeling. Your insights will empower executive leadership to make informed, data-driven decisions that enhance operational efficiency and profitability.
  • Financial Reporting & Compliance: Oversee the preparation, review, and dissemination of accurate, timely, and transparent financial reports in accordance with regulatory requirements and internal policies. You will ensure the integrity of financial data while fostering a culture of accountability and ethical financial management.
  • Risk Management & Capital Strategy: Lead the assessment and mitigation of financial risks, including market, credit, and operational risks. Your expertise in capital markets and investment strategies will be critical in optimizing cash flow management, capital allocation, and investment portfolios to support sustainable growth initiatives.
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Governance: Serve as the primary liaison between the finance department and key stakeholders, including executive leadership, the Board of Directors, auditors, financial institutions, and regulatory bodies. You will build and maintain strong relationships to uphold the organization’s reputation and ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Team Leadership & Development: Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing finance team by fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment. Your focus on professional development and talent retention will cultivate a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Process Optimization & Technology Integration: Drive finance transformation initiatives by identifying opportunities to automate processes, implement advanced financial systems, and enhance operational efficiency. Your leadership will ensure the finance department remains agile, data-driven, and aligned with industry best practices.
  • Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A): Provide strategic guidance and oversight for M&A activities, including due diligence, valuation, negotiation, and post-merger integration. Your expertise will be instrumental in identifying and executing value-enhancing transactions that align with the organization’s growth strategy.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with department heads across the organization to assess investment needs, evaluate expenditures, and monitor financial performance against strategic targets. Your ability to translate complex financial concepts into actionable insights will bridge the gap between finance and other business functions.
  • Governance & Ethical Leadership: Establish and maintain robust internal control frameworks to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and ethical financial practices. Your commitment to transparency and integrity will reinforce trust among stakeholders and safeguard the organization’s reputation.

Qualifications & Experience

To excel in this role, you will bring a wealth of experience and a proven track record of success in senior finance leadership positions. The ideal candidate will meet the following criteria:

  • Education & Certifications: A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field is required. Advanced degrees or professional certifications such as CPA, CFA, or equivalent are highly preferred.

  • Strategic & Analytical Skills: Exceptional strategic thinking capabilities with a demonstrated ability to align financial goals with broader organizational objectives. Strong analytical acumen to interpret complex financial data and translate it into actionable insights for decision-making.
  • Leadership & Communication: Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability. Exceptional communication skills to articulate financial concepts clearly and effectively to non-financial audiences, including executive leadership and the Board of Directors.
  • Risk Management & M&A Expertise: Extensive experience in financial risk management, capital markets, and M&A processes, including due diligence and post-merger integration. A keen understanding of internal control frameworks and governance practices is critical.
  • Stakeholder Management: Strong interpersonal skills with a track record of building and maintaining relationships with external stakeholders, including auditors, financial institutions, and regulatory bodies.
