Safety Engineer

The Safety Engineer is a critical role within our Facility Management Services (FMS) department, reporting directly to the FMS Manager. This position is responsible for fostering a safe and secure environment for our patients, visitors, and employees by developing, implementing, and monitoring comprehensive health and safety programs.

• Develop, implement, and monitor health and safety policies, procedures, and risk management programs across the hospital.
• Conduct regular safety inspections, risk assessments, and incident investigations, and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
• Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations, fire safety requirements, and hospital policies.
• Deliver engaging safety training and awareness programs for employees and support emergency preparedness initiatives.
• Prepare detailed safety reports, maintain regulatory documentation, and monitor key health and safety performance indicators.

We seek a qualified candidate with a Bachelor's degree in Safety Engineering, Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Engineering, or a related field, along with a minimum of 3 years of experience in health and safety, risk management, or a related field. Healthcare or hospital experience is preferred. Professional certifications such as NEBOSH, OSHA, or equivalent are highly desirable.
