Role Overview
The Accountant will play a pivotal role in maintaining the financial health of Evermark Global by overseeing day-to-day accounting operations in Jeddah. This full-time, on-site position requires a meticulous professional who can manage financial transactions, ensure compliance with accounting standards, and provide strategic financial insights to support business decisions. The Accountant will collaborate closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to streamline financial processes, optimize cash flow, and contribute to the organization’s growth trajectory.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Transaction Management: Process and record accounts payable and receivable, manage general ledger entries, and perform bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and present monthly and annual financial statements, closing reports, and supporting documentation in accordance with international accounting standards (IFRS or GAAP) and local regulatory requirements.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the development and monitoring of budgets, financial forecasts, and variance analyses to support strategic planning and decision-making.
- Compliance and Audit Support: Ensure adherence to accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal policies while maintaining comprehensive and organized financial records. Collaborate with internal and external auditors to facilitate smooth audit processes.
- Cash Flow and Cost Control: Monitor cash flow, analyze financial data, and implement cost-control measures to enhance operational efficiency and financial stability.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and senior management, to provide financial insights and support business initiatives.
Qualifications and Skills
To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional certifications such as CPA, CMA, or equivalent are highly desirable.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of accounting software and ERP systems, along with advanced Microsoft Excel skills for financial modeling and analysis.
- Accounting Standards: In-depth understanding of international accounting standards (IFRS or GAAP) and familiarity with local tax and regulatory requirements.
- Analytical and Organizational Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational abilities, and the capacity to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Communication and Collaboration: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate financial insights clearly to non-financial stakeholders and collaborate effectively across teams.
- Experience: Prior experience as an Accountant or in a similar finance role, preferably within multi-country or multi-industry organizations, is a strong advantage.
