Key Responsibilities
As an Electro-Mechanical Technician, your core responsibilities will include:
- System Troubleshooting and Inspection: Diagnose, test, and inspect mechanical assemblies to identify non-conforming equipment, performing repairs and modifications with minimal supervision while adhering to strict quality standards.
- Assembly and Configuration: Execute precise assembly and disassembly procedures, ensuring accuracy in test verification and configuring test stations and systems to meet operational requirements.
- Data Analysis and Collaboration: Interpret environmental test data, troubleshoot equipment anomalies, and assist in setting up experiments in partnership with Engineering and Reliability teams to record and analyze experimental findings.
- Equipment Evaluation and Repair: Conduct performance evaluations of general-purpose test equipment, performing necessary repairs to maintain operational integrity.
- Technical Leadership: Provide mentorship and coaching to fellow technicians, sharing expertise in areas of proven competence to elevate team performance and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Compliance and Safety: Uphold all Health, Safety, and Environmental (HS&E) policies and procedures, ensuring a secure and compliant work environment for all team members.
Qualifications and Skills
To excel in this role, you will bring the following qualifications and expertise:
- Education: A two-year technical diploma or Associate’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, with additional experience highly valued.
- Experience: Minimum of two years in an electro-mechanical function, with hands-on involvement in troubleshooting, assembly, and testing of complex systems.
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in soldering and assembling electro-mechanical devices, coupled with the ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, assembly prints, and parts lists.
- Instrumentation Expertise: Proficiency in using measurement and gauging equipment, as well as tools such as multimeters, megohmmeters, and hi-pot testers to ensure accurate diagnostics and repairs.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal English language skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and document technical findings.
