Nursing-VIP Ward Nurse

The Nursing-VIP Ward Nurse is responsible for providing high-quality, compassionate care to patients in our VIP ward. This role involves a blend of clinical, administrative, and supportive duties to ensure patient comfort, safety, and well-being.

Clinical Duties:

• Conducts initial and ongoing patient assessments, including physical examinations and vital sign monitoring.
• Develops, implements, and updates individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
• Administers medications and treatments as prescribed, and monitors for side effects or adverse reactions.
• Provides wound care, including cleaning, dressing, and infection monitoring.
• Assists in medical procedures and diagnostic tests, and educates patients and families about health conditions and preventive measures.
• Observes and records patient conditions, and reports significant changes to the medical team.
• Responds to medical emergencies and provides immediate care as needed.
• Conducts purposeful rounding to meet patient needs, prevent complications, and improve care quality.
• Adheres to strict infection control standards and participates in infection control surveillance.
• Maintains patient item and equipment cleanliness as per Fakeeh Care policies.
• Follows established emergency protocols to ensure patient safety and effective response.
• Innovates in patient care and implements evidence-based practices to enhance patient outcomes.

Administrative Duties:

• Maintains accurate and detailed patient care records.
• Communicates effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team for coordinated and comprehensive care.
• Collaborates with other healthcare professionals to ensure continuous and integrated patient care.

Supportive Duties:

• Provides emotional support to patients and families, addressing concerns and offering reassurance.
• Advocates for patient needs and preferences, ensuring their rights are respected.
• Participates in ongoing education and training to stay current with medical practices and advancements.
• Respects diverse cultural backgrounds and incorporates patient values and beliefs into care planning.
• Oversees junior staff and nursing students, providing guidance and support as needed.
• Collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care.
• Identifies and addresses patient care issues, contributing to practice improvements.

Other duties as assigned by the nursing manager within the scope of the job.
