Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Accountant to join our dynamic team at Scrub-N in Riyadh. This pivotal role requires a strategic leader with a strong background in financial management, accounting principles, and regulatory compliance to oversee all accounting operations and drive financial excellence within the organization. Key Responsibilities

• Financial Leadership: Provide strategic direction and leadership to the accounting department, ensuring alignment with the company’s financial goals and objectives. Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial statements, budgets, and forecasts to support informed decision-making.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to local and international accounting standards, including IFRS and GAAP, as well as Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority (SAMA) regulations. Implement and maintain robust internal controls to mitigate financial risks and ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
• Team Management: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing accounting team by fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Assign responsibilities, monitor performance, and provide professional development opportunities to enhance team capabilities.
• Financial Reporting: Supervise the timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements, and management reports. Present financial insights and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders to support strategic initiatives.
• Process Optimization: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes, enhance efficiency, and reduce operational costs. Implement best practices and innovative technologies to improve financial systems and reporting accuracy.
• Audit Coordination: Collaborate with external auditors during annual audits, tax filings, and regulatory inspections. Ensure all audit requirements are met, and address any findings or recommendations in a timely manner to maintain the organization’s financial integrity.
• Tax Planning and Compliance: Oversee tax planning strategies to optimize the company’s tax position while ensuring full compliance with local tax laws. Prepare and file tax returns, and liaise with tax authorities as needed to resolve any inquiries or disputes.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and executive leadership, to provide financial insights and support business decisions. Act as a trusted advisor to senior management on financial matters, including investments, cost management, and revenue optimization.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional certification such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant), CA (Chartered Accountant), or CMA (Certified Management Accountant) is highly preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 10 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role such as Senior Accountant, Financial Controller, or similar position. Experience in the healthcare or cleaning services industry is a plus.
• Technical Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and ERP systems. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, with strong analytical and data visualization skills.
• Soft Skills: Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills. Ability to analyze complex financial data, present findings clearly, and influence stakeholders at all levels. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail are essential.
• Language Proficiency: Fluency in English and Arabic is required. Additional languages are a valuable asset.
