Senior Accountant - Promedic KSA, Riyadh
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in accounting, exceptional analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic and multicultural environment.
The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing the accounting function, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, and providing strategic insights to support business decisions. This role requires a strong understanding of international accounting standards, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
Key responsibilities include:
- Overseeing the preparation of financial statements in accordance with IFRS
- Managing the month-end and year-end closing processes
- Supervising and developing a team of accountants
- Implementing and maintaining internal controls to ensure accurate financial reporting
- Providing regular financial updates and analysis to senior management
- Collaborating with external auditors during the annual audit process
- Staying up-to-date with changes in accounting standards and best practices
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- At least 7 years of proven experience in accounting, with at least 3 years in a senior role
- Strong proficiency in English and Arabic
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced skills in Excel
- Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP
- Certification as a Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is preferred
- The ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to mentor and develop team members
