Role Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. In this pivotal role, you will play a critical part in supporting regional operations by overseeing key financial functions, including Cost Analysis, Accounts Payable, Expense Recognition, Fixed Asset Management, and Month-End Reporting. Your responsibilities will span a wide range of accounting activities, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in financial processes while contributing to the overall success of the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• General Ledger Management: Own and maintain G/L accounts to ensure consistent and accurate cost allocations across the organization.
• Monthly Accrual Process: Take full accountability for the monthly accrual process, ensuring all financial obligations are properly recorded and reported.
• Accounts Payable Oversight: Review all invoices for appropriate documentation, approval, and compliance before processing payments. Respond promptly to vendor inquiries and reconcile vendor statements to resolve discrepancies.
• Month-End Closing Support: Assist in the month-end closing process by posting transactions to ledgers, reconciling accounts payable, and preparing detailed financial analyses.
• Compliance and Reporting: Ensure strict adherence to Group accounting policies in all transaction processing. Prepare and present timely internal management reports, including performance analysis and variance investigations.
• Fixed Asset Management: Update the fixed asset registry and oversee Capital Expenditure reporting to maintain accurate asset records.
• Intercompany Transactions: Undertake intercompany postings and reconciliations to ensure seamless financial consolidation across the organization.
• Tax Compliance: Assist in preparing required tax returns, with a strong understanding of KSA tax regulations to ensure full compliance.
• Process Improvement: Actively participate in enhancing internal processes to drive efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.
• Team Collaboration: Provide backup assistance to other team members and contribute to ad-hoc finance projects as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from a recognized institution.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of General Ledger experience in a fast-paced, high-volume accounting environment, with 1-2 years specifically in Cost Analysis.
• Proficiency in using ERP systems, with a preference for NetSuite experience.
• Familiarity with Purchase Order (PO) software to streamline procurement processes.
• Strong knowledge of KSA tax compliance and accounting principles, including expense recognition.
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills, with the ability to analyze complex financial data and prepare reports.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, coupled with a results-driven mindset.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly to management.
• Demonstrated interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively across departments and influence key stakeholders.
• Proactive attitude with a commitment to meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality work.
