Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse will be responsible for the following duties and responsibilities:

• Patient Care and Assessment: Receive assigned patients in accordance with daily schedules and apply the Nursing Care Process to deliver safe, effective, and evidence-based care. Conduct thorough patient assessments, document findings accurately, and monitor responses to nursing interventions, ensuring timely updates to the healthcare team.
• Care Planning and Collaboration: Develop and implement individualized Nursing Care Plans in collaboration with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals. Ensure that patient care aligns with HMG policies, JCIA/CBAHI standards, and multidisciplinary care goals.
• Clinical Interventions and Emergency Response: Administer medications, treatments, and procedures as prescribed by physicians, adhering to established protocols and timelines. Initiate emergency and resuscitative measures when necessary, demonstrating proficiency in critical care scenarios.
• Patient and Family Education: Provide personalized education to patients and their families regarding medical conditions, treatment plans, and self-care strategies. Empower them to participate actively in their recovery and long-term health management.
• Documentation and Compliance: Maintain comprehensive and accurate records of patient assessments, interventions, and progress. Ensure strict adherence to privacy and confidentiality policies, safeguarding patient information in compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Shift Leadership and Supervision: As assigned, function as the Shift In Charge (Team Leader), overseeing the delivery of nursing care during your shift. Conduct patient rounds, report any unusual incidents to nursing supervision, attend physician rounds, and participate in patient status presentations and endorsements to ensure continuity of care.
• Professional Development and Training: Participate in departmental education programs, training sessions, and meetings to enhance clinical skills and stay current with advancements in nursing practice. Maintain mandatory unit-specific competencies as outlined in the approved competency matrix.
• Quality Improvement and Patient Experience: Contribute to person-centered care initiatives aimed at improving patient satisfaction and outcomes. Deliver care with compassion, respect, and dignity, fostering a positive and supportive healthcare environment.
• Flexibility and Adaptability: Demonstrate adaptability to meet the dynamic needs of the healthcare setting, including floating to different units, responding to staffing demands, and adjusting to changing priorities as required.

Requirements and Qualifications

To qualify for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or equivalent, supplemented by a 3-year General Nursing Diploma.
• Licensing and Certification: Valid professional licensure from the country of origin, along with certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or equivalent. Compliance with Saudi Council licensing requirements is mandatory.
• Experience: Minimum of one year of relevant inpatient nursing experience, with a proven track record in delivering high-quality patient care.
• Skills and Competencies: Strong clinical knowledge, critical thinking abilities, and exceptional communication skills. Proficiency in using electronic health records and nursing documentation systems. Commitment to ethical practice, patient safety, and continuous professional development.
• Personal Attributes: Demonstrated sense of empathy, integrity, and teamwork. Ability to work effectively under pressure, prioritize tasks, and maintain a patient-focused approach in all aspects of care.
