Your Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for cultivating and maintaining strong relationships with local businesses, advertisers, and community partners. Your primary objective will be to identify and secure new advertising opportunities while ensuring the continued satisfaction of existing clients. This position requires a strategic approach to sales, marketing, and business development, with a focus on delivering measurable results for both our clients and our organization.

As a Publisher, your core duties will include:

• Business Development: Proactively seek out and engage with potential advertisers, presenting the unique value proposition of our multi-platform media solutions to drive revenue growth.
• Client Relationship Management: Build and nurture long-term partnerships with local businesses, understanding their needs and tailoring our services to meet their objectives.
• Sales Execution: Meet and exceed quarterly and annual sales targets by leveraging your persuasive communication skills and deep understanding of the local market.
• Market Expansion: Identify and capitalize on new opportunities within the designated regions, including Hunterdon, Morris, Sussex, Essex, and Union counties in New Jersey, to expand our reach and impact.
• Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including marketing, production, and editorial, to ensure seamless execution of campaigns and deliver high-quality products to our clients.
• Strategic Planning: Develop and implement localized strategies to enhance brand visibility, engagement, and revenue generation within your assigned territories.

Ideal Candidate Profile

We are looking for a self-motivated, highly organized, and results-oriented individual to join our team as a Publisher. The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record in sales, business development, or a related field, with a strong understanding of the local business landscape. Strong interpersonal skills, a competitive drive, and the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team are essential for success in this role.

Key qualifications include:

• Proven experience in sales, advertising, or a related field, with a demonstrated ability to meet and exceed targets.
• Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients and partners.
• Deep knowledge of the local market within Hunterdon, Morris, Sussex, Essex, and Union counties in New Jersey, or a willingness to develop this expertise.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• A proactive and entrepreneurial mindset, with a passion for driving growth and innovation.
• Proficiency in CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite, with a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
