Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

The Landscaper will perform a wide range of duties to uphold the highest standards of landscape care and facility maintenance. Your responsibilities will include:

• Landscaping and Plant Care:
  • Prune and trim trees, hedges, and overgrowth to maintain neat and attractive surroundings.
  • Apply fertilizers and pesticides as required to promote healthy plant growth and prevent infestations.
  • Remove weeds, dead plants, and debris to ensure a vibrant and well-maintained landscape.
  • Plant trees, shrubs, flowers, and grass to enhance the natural beauty of the property.
• Grounds and Facility Maintenance:
  • Rake, clean, and maintain assigned areas, including beaches and pathways, to meet high cleanliness standards.
  • Assist with general grounds and beach upkeep, including litter removal and disposal to preserve environmental integrity.
  • Support the organization and maintenance of the landscaping shed, ensuring tools and supplies are properly stored and accessible.
• Safety, Compliance, and Reporting:
  • Adhere to all company safety policies and environmental regulations to foster a secure workplace.
  • Complete detailed work logs and promptly report any issues or maintenance needs to management.
• Equipment Handling and Additional Duties:
  • Load, unload, and transport landscaping tools and equipment as needed.
  • Maintain all supplies and tools (e.g., rakes, shovels, hoses, clippers) in optimal condition and ensure proper storage.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management to support operational efficiency.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and competencies:

• Education: A High School Diploma or GED is required; additional education or certification in Horticulture, Landscaping, or Hospitality is advantageous.
• Experience: A minimum of two years of hands-on experience in landscaping, groundskeeping, or a related field is essential.
• Technical Skills:
  • Basic understanding of irrigation systems and their maintenance.
  • Proficiency in using hand and electrical tools safely and effectively.
• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact professionally with colleagues and guests.
• Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in an outdoor environment, including standing for extended periods.
  • Capacity to lift, carry, and maneuver landscaping equipment and materials.
• Soft Skills:
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities to address landscaping challenges efficiently.
  • Excellent planning and coordination skills to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Flexibility to work a shift schedule, including weekends and holidays, as operational needs require.

Work Environment
