Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Management Specialist specializing in Data Governance, Data Catalog, and Data Quality to join our dynamic team in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This full-time, onsite role requires a professional with at least five years of hands-on experience in implementing and administering modern data management platforms. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving enterprise-wide initiatives to enhance data governance, metadata management, data classification, and data quality while ensuring strict compliance with Saudi Arabian regulatory frameworks, including SDAIA, NDMO, and PDPL.
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in transforming our data management practices by designing, configuring, and maintaining robust solutions that improve data discoverability, accuracy, and compliance. Key Responsibilities
Data Catalog & Metadata Management
- Implement, configure, and administer enterprise-wide Data Catalog solutions to ensure comprehensive metadata management.
- Develop and maintain automated metadata management processes to guarantee accuracy, consistency, and discoverability of enterprise data assets.
- Inventory, classify, document, and tag data assets across diverse platforms to enhance transparency and accessibility.
- Design and maintain metadata models, business glossaries, taxonomies, and catalog structures to support organizational needs.
- Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to ensure metadata accurately reflects enterprise data assets.
- Configure metadata ingestion, scanning, and synchronization processes to maintain up-to-date catalogs.
Data Governance
- Configure, administer, and monitor enterprise Data Governance platforms to enforce policies and standards.
- Support the implementation of governance policies, workflows, approvals, and stewardship processes.
- Enable governance dashboards, compliance monitoring, and policy enforcement mechanisms.
- Work closely with Data Owners, Data Stewards, Data Custodians, Risk, Compliance, and IT teams to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
- Ensure governance documentation complies with internal and external standards.
- Monitor governance KPIs and drive continuous process improvements to enhance data governance effectiveness.
Data Classification & Regulatory Compliance
- Implement enterprise-wide data classification frameworks to categorize data based on sensitivity, confidentiality, and criticality.
- Configure and publish classification labels across all data assets to support regulatory compliance.
- Ensure adherence to SDAIA, NDMO, PDPL, and other applicable Saudi regulatory standards.
- Support compliance reporting and maintain audit readiness to meet regulatory requirements.
Data Quality Management
- Configure and administer enterprise Data Quality platforms to assess and improve data integrity.
- Perform comprehensive data profiling and quality assessments to identify discrepancies and inconsistencies.
- Design and implement reusable Data Quality rules and automated validation checks.
- Build workflows for issue management and remediation to address data quality challenges proactively.
- Develop automated monitoring, alerts, and exception reporting mechanisms to ensure data health.
- Identify root causes of data quality issues and coordinate remediation activities with relevant stakeholders.
- Monitor quality metrics and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance enterprise data quality.
Reporting & Analytics
- Develop Data Quality dashboards and KPI scorecards to provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
- Produce governance, catalog, and compliance reports to support decision-making processes.
- Integrate Data Quality tools with Business Intelligence (BI) and reporting platforms for enhanced analytics.
- Monitor enterprise data health and quality trends to identify areas for improvement.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Partner with business users to define Data Quality rules and governance policies tailored to organizational needs.
- Work with Data Stewards and Custodians to implement and enforce governance processes effectively.
- Support business adoption of governance and quality tools through training and guidance.
- Conduct user engagement sessions to ensure alignment and foster a data-driven culture.
Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Management, or a related field. Advanced degrees or relevant certifications are a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of five years of hands-on experience in Data Management, with a focus on Data Governance, Data Catalog, and Data Quality.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in implementing and administering enterprise Data Catalog, Data Governance, and Data Quality tools.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with SDAIA, NDMO, PDPL, and other Saudi regulatory frameworks is highly preferred.
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
- Location: Willingness to relocate to Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, for an onsite role.
