Data Privacy Specialist

We are seeking a seasoned Data Privacy Specialist with a proven track record to drive our data privacy initiatives and ensure compliance with global privacy regulations. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 7 years of experience in data privacy, data protection, or information governance.

• Develop and maintain robust data privacy policies, standards, and governance frameworks.
• Conduct comprehensive privacy compliance assessments, risk assessments, and Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs).
• Ensure adherence to applicable privacy regulations such as GDPR, PDPL, CCPA, and others.
• Maintain up-to-date Personal Data Inventories and Data Flow Maps.
• Promote Privacy by Design and Privacy by Default principles across the organization.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Legal, IT, Security, Risk, and business teams on privacy initiatives.
• Deliver engaging privacy awareness and training programs.

Must-haves: Proven expertise in GDPR, PDPL, CCPA, or similar regulations, hands-on experience with DPIAs, risk assessments, data mapping, and compliance assessments. Demonstrated ability to develop and implement data privacy policies and governance frameworks. Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills. Strong understanding of Privacy by Design, Data Minimization, Purpose Limitation, and Data Subject Rights.

Nice-to-haves: Certifications such as CIPP, CIPM, CIPT, CDPSE, or ISO 27701. Experience with privacy platforms like OneTrust, BigID, Microsoft Purview. Knowledge of ISO 27001, ISO 27701, NIST Privacy Framework, and Data Governance. Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and privacy controls.
