Key Responsibilities

In this pivotal role as Housekeeping Coordinator at The Ritz-Carlton, Ummahat Islands, you will serve as the backbone of our housekeeping operations, ensuring seamless execution of high standards across all guest areas. Your responsibilities will include:

• Operational Leadership: Oversee daily housekeeping activities to maintain pristine cleanliness and organization in guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas. Ensure adherence to The Ritz-Carlton’s stringent cleanliness protocols and service excellence benchmarks.
• Team Management: Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of housekeeping staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture. Conduct regular training sessions to reinforce service standards and operational best practices.
• Guest Experience Enhancement: Act as the primary point of contact for guest inquiries and requests related to housekeeping. Address concerns promptly and proactively to exceed guest expectations and ensure their comfort and satisfaction.
• Inventory and Supply Oversight: Monitor and manage housekeeping supplies, linens, and equipment to ensure adequate stock levels and cost-effective utilization. Coordinate with procurement teams to address supply chain needs efficiently.
• Compliance and Safety: Ensure strict compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations, including Marriott International’s policies and local labor laws. Conduct routine inspections to identify and mitigate potential risks.
• Communication and Collaboration: Serve as a liaison between housekeeping, front desk, maintenance, and other departments to facilitate seamless operations. Participate in daily briefings and contribute to cross-functional initiatives to enhance overall guest satisfaction.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, you must possess a minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in housekeeping or a related field within a luxury hospitality environment. A keen eye for detail, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to lead a team under pressure are essential. Proficiency in English is required, and additional language skills are a valuable asset. You should also demonstrate:

• A strong commitment to The Ritz-Carlton’s values, including integrity, respect, and a passion for service.
• The ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to meet operational demands.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing challenges.
