Senior Java Backend Developer (Spring Boot / Quarkus / API)

Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

• System Architecture & Development: Lead the design and implementation of scalable, robust backend solutions using Java, Spring Boot, and Quarkus frameworks. Ensure adherence to best practices in software development and system architecture.
• API Development & Integration: Develop, document, and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices to facilitate seamless communication between systems. Collaborate with frontend teams to ensure optimal performance and user experience.
• Performance Optimization: Analyze system bottlenecks and implement performance enhancements to improve response times, scalability, and resource utilization. Utilize profiling tools and methodologies to identify and resolve inefficiencies.
• Code Review & Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards, security protocols, and industry best practices. Mentor junior developers and foster a culture of continuous improvement within the team.
• Database Management: Design, optimize, and maintain relational and NoSQL databases to support application requirements. Implement data migration strategies and ensure data integrity and security.
• Collaboration & Leadership: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and QA engineers, to deliver high-quality software solutions. Provide technical guidance and leadership to ensure project success.
• Security & Compliance: Implement security best practices, including authentication, authorization, and data encryption, to protect sensitive information. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• DevOps & CI/CD Pipelines: Contribute to the development and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines to automate testing, deployment, and monitoring processes. Utilize tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, and Jenkins to streamline workflows.

Qualifications & Skills

• Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in Java backend development, with at least 3 years in a senior or lead role.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and Quarkus frameworks. Proficiency in RESTful API development, microservices architecture, and database management (SQL and NoSQL).
• Tools & Technologies: Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI). Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus.
• Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities, strong communication skills, and a collaborative mindset. Ability to mentor junior developers and lead technical discussions effectively.
• Language Proficiency: Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Arabic is a plus.
