Position Overview
UrbaCon Contracting & Trading Company, a leading organization in the construction and trading sector based in Saudi Arabia, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Finance Manager to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the financial operations of the company, ensuring robust financial health, compliance with regulatory standards, and strategic financial planning to support sustainable growth. Key Responsibilities
- Financial Leadership and Strategy: Develop and implement comprehensive financial strategies aligned with the company’s long-term objectives. Provide strategic insights and recommendations to senior management to optimize financial performance and mitigate risks.
- Financial Reporting and Compliance: Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports. Ensure compliance with local and international accounting standards, as well as regulatory requirements in Saudi Arabia. Collaborate with external auditors to facilitate smooth audit processes.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Lead the annual budgeting process, including revenue forecasting, expense management, and capital allocation. Monitor financial performance against budgets and provide variance analysis to identify trends and areas for improvement. Implement forecasting models to support informed decision-making.
- Treasury and Cash Management: Manage the company’s liquidity, cash flow, and working capital to ensure operational efficiency. Develop and maintain relationships with financial institutions to secure favorable financing terms and optimize cash utilization. Oversee investment strategies and risk management practices.
- Cost Control and Efficiency: Identify opportunities to reduce costs, improve profitability, and enhance financial efficiency across departments. Implement cost-saving initiatives and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive continuous improvement.
- Team Leadership and Development: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and professional growth. Delegate responsibilities effectively and ensure the team delivers exceptional results in a timely manner.
- Stakeholder Management: Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, providing financial insights and supporting strategic initiatives. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, procurement, and legal, to align financial goals with business objectives. Represent the company in financial discussions with investors, banks, and other stakeholders.
- Technology and Innovation: Leverage financial management software and tools to streamline processes, enhance data accuracy, and improve reporting capabilities. Stay abreast of industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in financial management to drive innovation within the finance function.
Qualifications and Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. A Master’s degree (MBA, MSc in Finance) or professional certification (CPA, CFA, ACCA) is highly desirable.
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in financial management, with at least 5 years in a senior finance role within the construction, contracting, or trading industry. Experience in a multinational or large-scale organization is preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in financial software (e.g., ERP systems, SAP, Oracle), advanced Excel skills, and strong knowledge of financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting tools. Familiarity with IFRS and local accounting standards is essential.
- Leadership and Soft Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire teams, with excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Strong analytical mindset, problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail are critical for success in this role.
- Language Proficiency: Fluency in English and Arabic is required. Additional language skills are a plus.
