Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Specialist Quality Assurance (Inspection) to join our esteemed team at John Wood Group PLC in Saudi Arabia. Key Responsibilities

• Quality Assurance Oversight: Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive quality assurance plans tailored to project requirements, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and international standards.
• Inspection Execution: Conduct thorough inspections of materials, equipment, and workmanship at various stages of project development, verifying compliance with specifications, codes, and contractual obligations.
• Defect Identification & Resolution: Systematically identify defects, non-conformances, or deviations from standards, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement corrective and preventive actions in a timely manner.
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain meticulous records of inspection findings, test results, and quality metrics, while generating detailed reports for stakeholders to facilitate informed decision-making.
• Regulatory & Compliance Adherence: Ensure all activities comply with local, national, and international regulations, as well as company policies, to mitigate legal and operational risks.
• Continuous Improvement: Proactively recommend and implement enhancements to quality control processes, leveraging data-driven insights to optimize efficiency and reduce rework.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, contractors, and regulatory bodies to foster a culture of quality excellence and ensure seamless project delivery.

Qualifications & Competencies

To excel in this role, you must possess a blend of technical expertise, analytical acumen, and strong communication skills. The ideal candidate will have:

• A bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Assurance, or a related field, with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in quality assurance or inspection within the oil & gas, petrochemical, or industrial sectors.
• Proficiency in quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, API Q1/Q2) and familiarity with industry-specific standards and codes.
• Hands-on experience with inspection tools and techniques, including NDT (Non-Destructive Testing), dimensional inspections, and material verification.
• Strong problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of accuracy.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate findings and recommendations clearly to diverse audiences.
• Certifications such as CQA (Certified Quality Auditor), CQE (Certified Quality Engineer), or equivalent are highly desirable.
• Proficiency in using quality management software and Microsoft Office Suite for reporting and analysis.
