Key Responsibilities

The QA Technician will be responsible for a range of critical tasks designed to maintain and enhance product quality. These responsibilities include:

• Quality Inspection: Conducting thorough inspections of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to identify any deviations from quality standards.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintaining accurate records of inspection results, test data, and quality metrics. Preparing detailed reports for management to support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Compliance and Standards: Ensuring adherence to local and international quality standards, such as ISO, HACCP, and GMP, as well as Almarai’s internal quality protocols.
• Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving: Identifying root causes of quality issues and collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Process Optimization: Participating in process audits and providing recommendations to enhance efficiency and reduce waste while maintaining product integrity.
• Team Collaboration: Working closely with production, logistics, and R&D teams to foster a culture of quality and continuous improvement across all operations.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications and competencies:

• A bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Quality Assurance, Chemistry, or a related field. Alternatively, a diploma with relevant experience may be considered.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a quality assurance or quality control role within the food and beverage industry, preferably in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of quality management systems, including ISO 9001, HACCP, and GMP standards.
• Proficiency in using quality control tools such as statistical process control (SPC), root cause analysis (RCA), and failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA).
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to interpret technical data and specifications accurately.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
• Familiarity with laboratory testing equipment and procedures is an advantage.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, for data analysis and reporting.
