Junior Software Developer (Banking Systems)

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Software Developer to join our dynamic Banking Technology team. Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will collaborate closely with senior developers and cross-functional teams to deliver robust software solutions that meet the evolving needs of our clients and stakeholders. Your responsibilities will include:

• Application Development and Maintenance: Assist in the development, testing, and maintenance of banking and financial applications, ensuring they meet performance, security, and compliance requirements.
• Code Development and Documentation: Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code in adherence to industry best practices and coding standards, facilitating ease of maintenance and scalability.
• Full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC): Participate actively in all phases of the SDLC, including requirement analysis, system design, development, testing, deployment, and post-deployment support.
• Banking System Development: Contribute to the development of critical banking applications, including core banking systems, digital banking platforms (online and mobile), and internal operational tools that enhance customer experience and operational efficiency.
• Bug Resolution and Enhancements: Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects while supporting the implementation of enhancements to improve system functionality and user experience.
• Collaboration and Communication: Work effectively with QA testers, business analysts, product managers, and other stakeholders to gather requirements, clarify specifications, and deliver high-quality solutions that align with business objectives.
• Security and Compliance: Ensure that all developed applications adhere to stringent security protocols, data integrity standards, and regulatory compliance requirements specific to the banking and financial services sector.
• Code Reviews and Continuous Improvement: Participate in code review sessions, incorporate feedback from peers and senior developers, and apply best practices to enhance code quality and maintainability.
• Technology Adoption and Learning: Stay abreast of emerging technologies, frameworks, and industry trends, and apply new knowledge to enhance your technical skills and contribute to innovative projects.

Requirements

To excel in this role, you should meet the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field from an accredited institution.
• Recent graduates or candidates with up to one year of professional experience in software development, including internships or academic projects, are encouraged to apply.
• A solid foundation in programming fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming (OOP) concepts.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Java, C#, Python, or JavaScript, with the ability to write efficient and maintainable code.
