NGHP IT/DT Cybersecurity Lead

Job Overview

Air Products PLC, a global leader in industrial gases and engineering solutions, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced NGHP IT/DT Cybersecurity Lead to join our team in Duba. This critical role will be responsible for overseeing and enhancing the cybersecurity posture of our Next Generation Hydrogen Plant (NGHP) and Digital Transformation (DT) initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of industrial control systems (ICS), operational technology (OT) security, and enterprise IT security frameworks, ensuring robust protection against evolving cyber threats.

Key Responsibilities

• Cybersecurity Strategy Development: Design, implement, and maintain a comprehensive cybersecurity strategy tailored to the unique requirements of NGHP and DT environments. This includes aligning security policies with industry best practices and regulatory standards.
• Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities in IT and OT systems, and develop actionable mitigation plans to address potential threats. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of security measures.
• Incident Response and Management: Lead the development and execution of incident response plans to minimize the impact of cybersecurity breaches. Serve as the primary point of contact during security incidents, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues efficiently.
• Compliance and Governance: Ensure adherence to relevant cybersecurity regulations, standards, and internal policies. Stay abreast of emerging threats and regulatory changes, and implement necessary adjustments to maintain compliance.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with IT, OT, engineering, and business teams to foster a culture of cybersecurity awareness. Provide guidance and training to employees on security best practices and incident reporting procedures.
• Technology Evaluation and Implementation: Assess and recommend cutting-edge cybersecurity tools and technologies to enhance the security posture of NGHP and DT systems. Oversee the deployment and integration of these solutions while ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
• Continuous Monitoring and Improvement: Implement robust monitoring mechanisms to detect and respond to security threats in real-time. Regularly review and update security controls to adapt to evolving cyber threats and technological advancements.

Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced degrees or relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, GIAC, or CompTIA Security+) are highly desirable.
• Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in cybersecurity, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. Proven track record in securing industrial control systems, operational technology, and enterprise IT environments is essential.
• Technical Skills: In-depth knowledge of IT/OT security frameworks, such as NIST, IEC 62443, ISO 27001, and NERC CIP. Familiarity with security tools like SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, and vulnerability scanners is required. Experience with cloud security and zero-trust architecture is a plus.
• Soft Skills: Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities. Ability to articulate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders and collaborate effectively across departments.
• Certifications: Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, GIAC, CompTIA Security+, or equivalent are preferred.
