Key Responsibilities

The IT Infrastructure Support Specialist will be responsible for a wide range of technical and operational duties, including:

• Infrastructure Maintenance and Support: Provide first-line and escalated support for IT infrastructure components, including servers, networks, storage systems, and virtualization platforms. Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance.
• System Administration: Manage and administer enterprise-level IT systems, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Microsoft Exchange Server. Ensure system availability, security, and compliance with organizational policies and industry standards.
• Network Management: Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPN solutions. Collaborate with network engineers to implement and optimize network performance and security protocols.
• Backup and Disaster Recovery: Oversee data backup processes, disaster recovery plans, and business continuity strategies. Conduct regular tests and updates to ensure data integrity and rapid recovery in the event of an incident.
• User Support and Training: Serve as a technical resource for end-users, providing guidance and training on IT systems, applications, and best practices. Address user inquiries and resolve technical issues promptly to enhance user satisfaction and productivity.
• Security and Compliance: Assist in implementing and enforcing IT security policies, procedures, and controls. Monitor security alerts, conduct vulnerability assessments, and coordinate with the cybersecurity team to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Vendor and Stakeholder Collaboration: Liaise with external vendors, service providers, and internal stakeholders to coordinate IT projects, upgrades, and maintenance activities. Ensure timely delivery of services and effective communication across all levels of the organization.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of IT infrastructure configurations, procedures, and incident reports. Generate performance metrics and reports to support data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications and possess the following skills:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, or Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) are highly desirable.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure components, including servers, storage, networking, and virtualization technologies. Experience with Windows Server, Linux, VMware, or similar platforms is essential. Familiarity with cloud services (e.g., Azure, AWS) is a plus.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Proven ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues efficiently and effectively. A methodical approach to problem-solving with a focus on root cause analysis and long-term solutions.
• Communication and Collaboration: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly to non-technical stakeholders. Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills to foster productive working relationships.
• Time Management: Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a high-pressure environment. Commitment to continuous learning and professional development to stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends.
• Language Proficiency: Fluency in English is required. Additional proficiency in Arabic is advantageous but not mandatory.
