Join Our Team as an AI Specialist Intern – Drive Innovation in Hotel Design & Development

Are you passionate about leveraging artificial intelligence to transform traditional workflows? Adeera, a leading Saudi hotel operator and a portfolio company of the Public Investment Fund (PIF), is seeking a motivated AI Specialist Intern to join our Design & Technical Services (D&TS) team. This six-month internship offers a unique opportunity to apply cutting-edge AI and automation technologies to real-world hotel design and development projects across our three premium brands: Alia (ultra-luxury), Sama (lifestyle luxury), and Noor (midscale).

As part of our D&TS team, you will play a pivotal role in integrating AI-driven solutions into our design review processes, technical standards, and pre-opening delivery mechanisms. This is not a theoretical research position—you will develop practical tools and automation workflows that directly impact the efficiency and consistency of Adeera’s expanding national portfolio. Your contributions will be integral to shaping the future of hotel development through innovation and technology.

Key Responsibilities

In this dynamic role, you will:

• Automate Design Review Workflows: Streamline and consolidate design development comments across multiple disciplines, including architecture, interiors, and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing), to enhance collaboration and reduce manual effort.
• Develop Document-Comparison and Extraction Tools: Create intelligent tools to compare and extract critical data from consultant deliverables such as drawings, specifications, area programmes, and Bills of Quantities (BOQs), ensuring accuracy and consistency.
• Analyze and Structure Project Data: Leverage AI to analyze and organize project data, including area programmes, OS&E (Operating Supplies & Equipment) and FF&E (Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment) schedules, and pre-opening trackers, to derive actionable insights.
• Pilot AI Assistants: Implement AI-powered assistants trained on Adeera’s brand and technical standards to support faster, more consistent design reviews and decision-making processes.
• Document and Present Findings: Prepare comprehensive documentation and concise presentations on the tools developed, their impact, and emerging AI technologies that can further enhance design and construction workflows.
• Deliver a Tangible Ownership Project: Within the first 90 days, develop and pilot at least one fully functional automation tool on a live project workflow, with mentorship and support from the D&TS team.

Qualifications & Skills

To excel in this role, you should possess the following:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Data Science, or Software Engineering, currently being pursued or recently completed.
• Proficiency in Python and/or low-code automation platforms such as Power Automate or Copilot Studio.
• Familiarity with Large Language Model (LLM) APIs, prompt engineering, or experience in building AI-assisted workflows is highly desirable.
• A foundational understanding of machine learning concepts and their practical applications.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to work effectively with real-world, often imperfect, data.
• Strong communication skills in English; proficiency in Arabic is a plus.
• While prior experience in the built environment, design, construction, or hospitality is beneficial, it is not a prerequisite for this role.
