Technical Consultant, SAP - ABAP/Integration

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Technical Consultant, SAP - ABAP/Integration to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing SAP ABAP solutions while ensuring seamless integration with SAP SuccessFactors. Your expertise will be instrumental in enhancing human capital management (HCM) processes, driving system performance, and delivering scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions. This position requires a deep technical acumen in ABAP programming, SAP SuccessFactors integrations, and cross-module system connectivity, alongside strong collaboration with functional teams and business stakeholders to align technical solutions with organizational objectives.

Key Responsibilities

The Technical Consultant will play a critical role in the following areas:

• SAP ABAP Development & Customization:
  • Design, develop, and maintain custom ABAP reports, programs, enhancements, workflows, BAPIs, BADIs, and user exits to meet evolving business requirements.
  • Create and maintain SAP SmartForms and Adobe Forms to ensure high-quality document outputs and user experiences.
• SAP SuccessFactors Integration:
  • Lead the design and implementation of integrations between SAP SuccessFactors and SAP ECC/S/4HANA using SAP PI/PO, SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI), and direct APIs.
  • Develop and maintain connectors for critical HR processes, including payroll, recruitment, employee data management, and performance management.
  • Ensure data consistency, integrity, and security across integrated systems.
• Integration Management:
  • Design and implement robust integrations between SuccessFactors, SAP ERP, and third-party systems such as payroll providers, time management solutions, and job boards.
  • Manage data mapping, transformation, validation rules, and integration specifications to ensure seamless interoperability.
  • Adhere to best practices in integration architecture to guarantee scalability, reliability, and optimal performance.
• Interface Development & Monitoring:
  • Develop and maintain interfaces using IDocs, BAPIs, RFCs, OData, and SOAP/REST services to facilitate data exchange between systems.
  • Monitor interfaces proactively, troubleshoot integration issues, and implement corrective actions to minimize disruptions.
• System Enhancements & Optimization:
  • Review and optimize existing custom developments and integrations to improve efficiency, reduce latency, and enhance system stability.
  • Perform ABAP performance tuning to address bottlenecks, errors, and downtime, ensuring high system availability.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Partner with SAP functional consultants across HR, Finance, and other domains to deliver end-to-end solutions that align with business processes.
  • Define and document business and integration requirements to ensure clarity and alignment with stakeholder expectations.
• End-User Training & Documentation:
  • Develop and deliver comprehensive user training programs to facilitate smooth adoption of new functionalities and integrations.
  • Maintain accurate technical and functional documentation, including user guides, system specifications, and process workflows.
• Troubleshooting & Support:
  • Provide expert-level technical support for ABAP and integration-related issues, acting as the primary point of contact for critical system challenges.
  • Investigate root causes of technical problems, propose solutions, and implement preventive measures to mitigate future occurrences.
• Project Support & Development:
  • Lead ABAP and SuccessFactors integration projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
  • Support system upgrades, compatibility testing, change requests, and version control to maintain system integrity and compliance.
• Policies, Systems & Procedures:
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of IT policies, systems, processes, and procedures to ensure operational consistency and compliance with industry standards.

Qualifications & Skills

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications and possess the requisite experience:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Human Resources, or a related field.
• Certifications (Preferred):
  • SAP ABAP certification
  • SAP SuccessFactors certification
• Experience: Minimum of 5–7 years of hands-on experience in SAP ABAP, SAP SuccessFactors, and SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI) configuration and support.
• Language Proficiency:
  • Arabic: Working knowledge
  • English: Working knowledge
