Position Overview

Niagara College KSA (NC KSA), a leading provider of technical and vocational training in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Specialist, IT to join our corporate team in Riyadh. Since its establishment in 2014, NC KSA has been at the forefront of delivering world-class education and training programs aligned with Saudi Vision 2030. In partnership with the Colleges of Excellence (CoE), we offer community and customized training programs in Business, Event Management, Occupational Health & Safety, Information Technology, and Graphic Design, supported by Niagara College Canada’s renowned expertise in applied learning.

Reporting directly to the Senior Manager, Quality and Systems, the IT Specialist will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation of IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, and enterprise applications across NC KSA’s corporate office and affiliated campuses. This position requires a proactive professional who can deliver technical expertise, drive digital transformation initiatives, and foster a secure and efficient IT environment to support our mission of developing work-ready graduates.

Key Responsibilities

The IT Specialist will be responsible for a diverse range of IT functions, including but not limited to:

• Microsoft 365 Administration: Manage and support Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, OneDrive, user account provisioning, license management, permission configurations, and security settings to ensure optimal performance and compliance.
• Cybersecurity Management: Implement robust security controls, monitor security alerts, investigate incidents, and enhance system configurations to mitigate risks. Develop and execute cybersecurity awareness programs, phishing campaigns, onboarding security training, and educational materials to promote a culture of information security across the organization.
• SharePoint and Microsoft Power Platform Development: Design, maintain, and enhance SharePoint sites, Microsoft Forms, Power Automate workflows, and Power Apps solutions to streamline business processes, improve operational efficiency, and support digital transformation initiatives.
• Technical Support and Troubleshooting: Provide expert-level troubleshooting for Microsoft 365, SharePoint, hardware, software, and network-related issues. Deliver timely and effective technical support to employees and campuses to minimize downtime and ensure productivity.
• Process Automation and Digital Transformation: Identify opportunities for automation, process optimization, and digital transformation using Microsoft cloud technologies to enhance service delivery and operational agility.
• Compliance and Risk Management: Support IT risk assessments, cybersecurity compliance activities, software licensing management, data protection requirements, and disaster recovery planning to ensure adherence to NC KSA policies and regulatory standards.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive IT procedures, technical documentation, knowledge articles, and system records. Prepare detailed reports on IT operations, cybersecurity activities, project progress, and system improvements for stakeholders.
• Vendor and Stakeholder Coordination: Collaborate with external vendors, evaluate service proposals, monitor service delivery, and ensure compliance with agreed service levels. Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to align IT initiatives with organizational goals.
• Training and Guidance: Provide technical guidance, training, and support for IT equipment deployment and maintenance across NC KSA campuses and projects. Travel to campuses as required to ensure consistent service standards and compliance.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following minimum requirements:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field from a recognized university.
• A minimum of four (4) years of progressive experience in IT support, systems administration, Microsoft 365 administration, or a closely related role, with a preference for candidates with experience in a post-secondary institution or educational environment.
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft 365 suite, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, OneDrive, and Power Platform tools (Power Automate, Power Apps).
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, risk management, and compliance frameworks, with experience in implementing security controls and conducting security awareness programs.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues, optimize IT processes, and deliver innovative solutions to enhance operational efficiency.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Proficiency in Arabic is a plus.
• Demonstrated experience in vendor management, service level agreement (SLA) monitoring, and contract administration.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
• Willingness to travel to NC KSA campuses and projects as required to support IT operations and ensure service delivery excellence.
