Manager, Finance (Saudi)

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Manager, Finance (Saudi) to oversee the full spectrum of financial operations, ensuring robust financial governance, compliance, and alignment with the company’s strategic objectives. This pivotal role will drive financial excellence by managing cash flow and liquidity, credit risk, costing accuracy, fixed assets, and daily sales outstanding, while spearheading process improvements—particularly in accounts payable and payments. The ideal candidate will lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting, including variance analysis and project/CAPEX monitoring, while ensuring strict adherence to tax, VAT, and regulatory requirements, including ZATCA compliance. This position will serve as the primary liaison with external auditors, tax agents, and financial institutions, fostering cross-departmental collaboration to support financial strategy and mitigate risks.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Operations Leadership: Oversee day-to-day finance operations, ensuring alignment with company policies, budgets, and strategic goals. Drive targeted daily sales outstanding (DSO) performance and conduct rigorous credit risk analysis on customers to safeguard financial health.
• Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure adherence to financial policies and procedures across all operations. Identify and mitigate financial risks associated with operational functions, while maintaining a comprehensive fixed asset register and validating capital expenditure (CAPEX) approvals.
• Process Optimization: Lead initiatives to enhance financial processes, with a focus on accounts payable (AP) and payment systems, to improve efficiency and accuracy. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement financial strategies that support broader business objectives.
• Cash Flow and Liquidity Management: Manage cash flow to ensure sufficient liquidity for operational needs while effectively managing financial and interest rate risks. Monitor costing functions to ensure report accuracy, promptly resolve cost variances, and analyze unusual contribution margins (CM).
• Budgeting and Financial Reporting: Develop, monitor, and manage annual budgets in alignment with business goals. Track actual expenditures against approved budgets, including detailed project/CAPEX cost tracking and variance analysis. Prepare monthly financial reports, forecasts, and variance analyses to compare actual results against budgeted figures.
• Regulatory and Tax Compliance: Oversee quarterly VAT submissions to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Manage annual tax compliance activities, including timely and accurate filings in accordance with ZATCA laws and regulations.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary point of contact for external auditors, tax agents, and banks. Foster strong relationships with internal departments to support financial initiatives and ensure seamless collaboration.
• Ad-Hoc Projects: Lead and support additional finance-related initiatives as required to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Professional Experience: Minimum of 5 years in finance or accounting, with at least 3 years in an operational finance role. Proven leadership experience in managing a team of at least 5 staff members.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong proficiency in SAP and advanced Excel skills is highly preferred. A deep understanding of financial controls, compliance frameworks, and risk management principles is essential.
