Position Overview

As a Steward at St. Regis Hotels & Resorts, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the impeccable standards of cleanliness and operational efficiency that define our luxury brand. This position is essential to supporting multiple hotel functions, ensuring that guests experience the highest level of service and comfort. Your responsibilities will span across various departments, including kitchen, food and beverage, and laundry, where you will contribute to the seamless operation of the hotel by preparing clean linens, maintaining dining ware, and operating essential cleaning equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Linen and Dining Ware Management: Prepare and deliver fresh, clean linens and spotless dining ware to guest areas, ensuring that all items meet the hotel’s stringent quality standards. This includes operating linen washers, dryers, dishwashing machines, and hand wash stations to maintain hygiene and presentation.
• Equipment Maintenance: Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot cleaning equipment and tools to ensure they function efficiently. This includes inspecting machines for cleanliness, reporting any malfunctions, and adhering to safety protocols during use.
• Logistics and Transportation: Transport dishware, linens, and other supplies across the hotel in a timely and organized manner. This may involve using trolleys, carts, or other equipment to move items while adhering to safety guidelines.
• Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with other departments, including housekeeping, food and beverage, and kitchen staff, to support operational needs. Maintain open communication with supervisors and team members to address any concerns or requests promptly.
• Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and quality standards to ensure a safe and compliant workplace. Report any accidents, injuries, or unsafe conditions to management immediately. Follow proper lifting techniques and ergonomic practices when handling objects up to 50 pounds.
• Physical Demands: Perform duties that require prolonged periods of standing, sitting, or walking. Reach overhead, below the knees, and perform bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping as needed to complete tasks efficiently.
• Additional Duties: Fulfill any other reasonable job duties as assigned by supervisors to support the overall operation of the hotel.

Qualifications and Requirements

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:

• Education: No high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is required.
• Work Experience: Prior related work experience is not mandatory, as full training will be provided.
• Supervisory Experience: This is a non-management position; no supervisory experience is required.
• Certifications or Licenses: None required.
