Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced QA/QC Inspector to join our team and contribute to the successful delivery of Data Center projects. In this critical role, you will be responsible for ensuring that all construction, installation, and commissioning activities adhere to the highest quality standards, project specifications, and client expectations. Your expertise will be instrumental in identifying defects, mitigating risks, and supporting the seamless handover of mission-critical infrastructure. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in Data Center environments, MEP systems, or industrial projects, with a deep understanding of electrical and mechanical infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
The QA/QC Inspector will play a pivotal role in maintaining quality throughout the project lifecycle. Your core responsibilities will include:
- Quality Inspections: Conduct thorough inspections of Data Center construction and installation activities to verify compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and industry standards.
- Documentation Review: Support the development and execution of Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), quality procedures, and related documentation to ensure alignment with project requirements.
- Defect Identification & Resolution: Proactively identify defects, quality issues, and non-conformances, and ensure corrective actions are implemented in a timely manner.
- Technical Inspections: Perform detailed inspections of electrical, mechanical, and building services installations, including HV/LV systems, UPS and generator systems, cooling and HVAC infrastructure, mechanical pipework, and structured cabling.
- Commissioning Support: Witness and verify testing, commissioning, and acceptance activities to ensure operational readiness and compliance with project specifications.
- Record Keeping & Reporting: Maintain accurate inspection records, quality reports, Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), and punch lists to track progress and ensure accountability.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with Project Managers, Engineers, Contractors, and Clients to uphold quality standards, resolve issues, and facilitate smooth project execution.
- Project Handover Support: Ensure all quality documentation is complete, accurate, and ready for project handover, supporting the transition to operational phases.
Technical Areas of Inspection
The QA/QC Inspector will be responsible for overseeing quality in the following technical areas:
- HV/LV Electrical Systems: Inspect high-voltage and low-voltage electrical installations for compliance and safety.
- UPS & Generator Systems: Verify the installation and functionality of uninterruptible power supply systems and backup generators.
- Cooling & HVAC Infrastructure: Ensure proper installation and operation of cooling systems and heating, ventilation, and air conditioning units.
- Mechanical Pipework & Equipment: Inspect mechanical piping systems and associated equipment for quality and adherence to specifications.
- Structured Cabling & Network Installations: Verify the installation of data cabling and network infrastructure to support operational requirements.
- Building Fabric & Fire Safety: Assess raised floors, fire-stopping measures, and other building fabric elements to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Commissioning & Operational Readiness: Support testing and commissioning activities to validate system performance and readiness for handover.
Required Experience & Qualifications
To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Industry Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in QA/QC, Quality Inspection, or Construction Quality roles, with a focus on Data Center, Critical Infrastructure, MEP, or Industrial projects.
- Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of electrical and/or mechanical systems, including installation, testing, and commissioning processes.
- Documentation & Reporting: Proven experience in managing NCRs, inspections, testing, and commissioning quality activities.
- Technical Proficiency: Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and project documentation.
