Senior Specialist - IT Security

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Specialist - IT Security to join our dynamic team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for managing and administering our comprehensive Microsoft Security suite, including Defender for Endpoint, Defender for Cloud Apps, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Data Classification, and Information Protection. Your expertise will be instrumental in safeguarding our organization’s digital assets, ensuring robust security measures, and maintaining compliance with industry regulations and standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Security Suite Management: Oversee and administer the Microsoft Security suite to protect endpoints, cloud applications, and sensitive data. Implement and fine-tune security policies to mitigate risks and enhance overall security posture.
• Incident Response and Threat Monitoring: Proactively monitor security incidents, threats, and vulnerabilities. Conduct thorough analyses to identify potential risks and implement timely remediation strategies to prevent security breaches.
• Security Enhancement: Continuously evaluate and enhance security controls, reporting mechanisms, and security frameworks. Stay ahead of emerging threats by leveraging advanced security technologies and methodologies.
• Compliance and Regulatory Adherence: Ensure strict compliance with security policies, data protection regulations, and industry standards. Collaborate with internal teams to implement and maintain robust security practices that align with legal and regulatory requirements.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, legal, and executive leadership, to promote security awareness and implement best practices across the organization. Serve as a trusted advisor on security-related matters.
• Documentation and Audit Support: Maintain accurate and up-to-date security documentation. Provide essential support during internal and external audits, ensuring transparency and accountability in all security-related processes.
• Communication and Leadership: Demonstrate exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively convey complex security concepts to stakeholders at all levels. Foster a culture of security awareness and accountability within the organization.

Qualifications and Skills

• Experience: Minimum of 3 to 4 years of hands-on experience in the IT security domain, with a proven track record of managing security tools and technologies.
• Technical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of security tools, threat detection, and incident response methodologies. Familiarity with Microsoft Security suite and related technologies is highly desirable.
• Certifications: Possession of industry-recognized certifications such as Network+, Security+, or other relevant security credentials is required.
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to assess security risks and implement effective countermeasures.
• Collaboration: Ability to work effectively in a team environment, collaborating with stakeholders to drive security initiatives and best practices.
