Position Overview

We are seeking a seasoned and strategic Director of Finance and Control to lead the financial operations and governance framework for Qiddiya Investment Company in Saudi Arabia. This pivotal role will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and driving financial excellence to support the company’s ambitious growth initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess a strong blend of financial acumen, leadership capabilities, and a deep understanding of corporate governance to steer the finance function with precision and foresight.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Leadership and Strategy: Develop and implement robust financial strategies aligned with Qiddiya Investment Company’s long-term objectives, ensuring sustainable profitability and value creation. Lead the annual budgeting process, financial forecasting, and long-range planning to optimize resource allocation.
• Financial Reporting and Compliance: Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and local regulatory requirements. Ensure adherence to corporate governance principles and internal control frameworks to mitigate financial risks and maintain transparency.
• Risk Management and Internal Controls: Establish and monitor a comprehensive risk management framework to identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks. Strengthen internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure operational integrity across all business units.
• Stakeholder Engagement and Communication: Act as a key liaison between the finance department and senior leadership, board members, and external stakeholders, including auditors, regulators, and investors. Present financial insights and performance metrics to facilitate informed decision-making.
• Team Leadership and Development: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement. Drive talent development initiatives to enhance the team’s capabilities and align with the company’s evolving needs.
• Strategic Partnerships and M&A Support: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate and execute mergers, acquisitions, and strategic partnerships. Provide financial due diligence and valuation expertise to support high-impact business decisions.
• Digital Transformation and Innovation: Champion the adoption of cutting-edge financial technologies and data analytics tools to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and strategic insights. Drive digital transformation initiatives within the finance function to stay ahead of industry trends.

Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications and experience:

• Education: A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. An MBA, CPA, CFA, or other advanced professional certifications are highly desirable.
• Professional Experience: Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting, with at least 10 years in a senior leadership role within a multinational corporation, investment firm, or large-scale development project. Prior experience in the real estate, entertainment, or infrastructure sectors is advantageous.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in financial modeling, ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle), and advanced Excel. Strong knowledge of IFRS, tax regulations, and corporate governance frameworks.
• Leadership and Soft Skills: Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization. A strategic mindset with a focus on results-driven decision-making.
