Engineering Supervisor (Local) – Four Seasons Resort and Residences Red Sea, Saudi Arabia

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Engineering Supervisor (Local) to join the dynamic team at the prestigious Four Seasons Resort and Residences Red Sea in Saudi Arabia. This pivotal role is responsible for overseeing the engineering operations of the resort, ensuring the highest standards of maintenance, efficiency, and guest satisfaction. Key Responsibilities

• Team Leadership and Management: Supervise a team of engineers and technicians, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations to ensure optimal productivity and adherence to safety protocols.
• Preventive and Corrective Maintenance: Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and enhance the longevity of resort facilities, including HVAC systems, electrical infrastructure, plumbing, and mechanical equipment.
• Operational Oversight: Monitor daily engineering operations, ensuring compliance with local regulations, international standards, and Four Seasons’ stringent quality benchmarks. Address any operational challenges promptly and efficiently.
• Budget and Resource Management: Collaborate with the finance department to prepare and manage the engineering department’s budget, optimizing resource allocation while maintaining cost-effectiveness without compromising service quality.
• Guest Experience Enhancement: Work closely with other departments to resolve guest-related issues promptly, ensuring a seamless and luxurious experience for all visitors. Maintain open communication channels to address feedback and implement improvements.
• Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance: Enforce rigorous health, safety, and environmental policies to create a secure working environment. Conduct regular inspections and risk assessments to mitigate potential hazards.
• Vendor and Contractor Coordination: Liaise with external vendors, contractors, and suppliers to procure materials, equipment, and services, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to contractual agreements.
• Technical Troubleshooting: Diagnose complex engineering issues, develop innovative solutions, and oversee repairs to maintain the resort’s infrastructure in pristine condition.

Qualifications and Skills

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional certifications (e.g., Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional) are advantageous.
• Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in engineering supervision, preferably within the hospitality, luxury resort, or large-scale facility management sector. Experience in a supervisory or managerial role is essential.
• Technical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical distribution, plumbing, fire safety systems, and building automation systems. Familiarity with energy management and sustainability practices is a plus.
• Leadership and Communication: Proven ability to lead and motivate a diverse team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Strong verbal and written communication skills are required.
• Problem-Solving: Exceptional analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Language Skills: Fluency in English is mandatory; proficiency in Arabic is highly desirable.
• Certifications: Valid engineering license or certification relevant to the role, along with certifications in occupational health and safety (e.g., OSHA, NEBOSH) is preferred.
