About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director of Engineering to lead the engineering department at the prestigious Four Seasons Resort and Residences AMAALA at Triple Bay. This pivotal role will oversee all engineering operations, ensuring the seamless functionality, maintenance, and sustainability of one of the world’s most luxurious resort destinations. Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement engineering strategies aligned with the resort’s operational and sustainability goals, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.
• Team Management: Lead, mentor, and inspire a multidisciplinary engineering team, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Operational Oversight: Oversee the maintenance, repair, and enhancement of all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and structural systems across the resort and residences, ensuring minimal disruption to guest experiences.
• Budget and Resource Management: Prepare and manage engineering budgets, allocate resources efficiently, and optimize cost-effective solutions without compromising quality or safety.
• Sustainability Initiatives: Drive sustainability programs, including energy efficiency, waste reduction, and renewable energy integration, to align with the resort’s environmental commitments.
• Guest Experience Enhancement: Collaborate with other departments to identify and implement engineering solutions that elevate guest satisfaction, comfort, and safety.
• Compliance and Safety: Ensure adherence to local and international regulations, safety protocols, and quality standards, including fire safety, electrical codes, and environmental laws.
• Vendor and Contractor Relations: Manage relationships with external vendors, contractors, and service providers, negotiating contracts and ensuring timely delivery of services.
• Technology Integration: Champion the adoption of cutting-edge engineering technologies, such as smart building systems, IoT, and automation, to enhance operational efficiency and guest convenience.

Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, candidates must demonstrate a proven track record in engineering leadership within the hospitality or luxury real estate sector. The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil preferred) or a related field, supplemented by a Master’s degree or professional certifications (e.g., PMP, LEED, or CPEM) in a relevant discipline. A minimum of 10 years of progressive engineering experience, including 5+ years in a managerial or directorial capacity, is essential.

Candidates should possess strong technical expertise in HVAC systems, building automation, energy management, and sustainable design, along with exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Fluency in English is required, and proficiency in Arabic is a plus. The successful candidate will exhibit strong interpersonal skills, a customer-centric mindset, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
