Key Responsibilities

The Senior Scheduler Planning Engineer (Offshore) will be responsible for a range of high-impact duties, including:

• Schedule Development and Management: Create, maintain, and update detailed project schedules using industry-standard tools such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or equivalent software. Ensure schedules are aligned with project milestones, contractual obligations, and regulatory requirements.
• Resource and Cost Optimization: Analyze resource allocation, identify potential bottlenecks, and propose solutions to enhance efficiency. Collaborate with procurement and logistics teams to optimize material and labor utilization while minimizing project costs.
• Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify schedule-related risks, including weather dependencies, supply chain disruptions, and regulatory changes. Develop and implement mitigation strategies to ensure project continuity and adherence to timelines.
• Stakeholder Communication: Serve as a liaison between project teams, contractors, and senior management to provide clear and accurate schedule updates. Present progress reports, forecasts, and critical path analyses to stakeholders to facilitate informed decision-making.
• Compliance and Documentation: Ensure all scheduling activities comply with industry standards, company policies, and international regulations. Maintain comprehensive documentation, including schedule baselines, change logs, and performance metrics, for audit and review purposes.
• Continuous Improvement: Drive process improvements by leveraging lessons learned from past projects and incorporating best practices in scheduling methodologies. Stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies in offshore project management to enhance operational efficiency.

Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:

• Education: A bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field. Advanced degrees or professional certifications (e.g., PMP, PMI-SP) are highly desirable.
• Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in scheduling and planning, with at least 5 years dedicated to offshore projects. Prior work in the oil and gas, marine, or renewable energy sectors is preferred.
• Technical Proficiency: Expertise in scheduling software such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar tools. Familiarity with ERP systems, cost control software, and data analytics platforms is a plus.
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to interpret complex data, assess risks, and develop actionable insights. Proficiency in critical path method (CPM) and earned value management (EVM) is essential.
• Soft Skills: Excellent communication, leadership, and teamwork skills. Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to evolving project demands.
• Certifications: Professional certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional), PMI-SP (Scheduling Professional), or equivalent are advantageous.
