Key Responsibilities

• Network Design and Implementation: Develop and deploy robust IP network architectures, including LAN, WAN, and VPN solutions, to ensure seamless connectivity and data transmission across the organization. Collaborate with stakeholders to assess requirements and deliver scalable, secure, and high-availability network designs.
• Routing and Switching Expertise: Configure, manage, and troubleshoot advanced routing protocols such as OSPF, BGP, and EIGRP, as well as switching technologies including VLANs, STP, and QoS. Ensure optimal performance, redundancy, and fault tolerance across the network infrastructure.
• Network Security and Compliance: Implement and enforce security best practices to safeguard the network against cyber threats. This includes managing firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), VPNs, and access control policies. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Performance Monitoring and Optimization: Utilize network monitoring tools to proactively identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, latency issues, and capacity constraints. Optimize network efficiency through continuous analysis and strategic upgrades.
• Incident Management and Troubleshooting: Serve as a primary point of contact for network-related incidents, conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions to minimize downtime. Maintain detailed documentation of network configurations, changes, and resolutions.
• Collaboration and Knowledge Sharing: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, cybersecurity, and infrastructure groups, to align network solutions with business objectives. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and support staff.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. Relevant certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, JNCIE, or equivalent are highly desirable.
• Technical Proficiency: Extensive experience with IP networking, including routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP), switching technologies (VLANs, STP, QoS), and network security protocols (IPsec, SSL VPN). Familiarity with network hardware from leading vendors (Cisco, Juniper, Huawei, etc.) is essential.
• Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong analytical skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex network issues efficiently. A methodical approach to diagnosing and resolving technical challenges is critical.
• Communication and Teamwork: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Ability to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Adaptability and Innovation: A proactive mindset with a commitment to staying current with emerging technologies and industry trends. Willingness to embrace new tools and methodologies to enhance network performance and security.
