Head of A2R Greater Gulf and Tax Compliance

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to lead the Accounts Receivable (A2R) function and Tax Compliance operations across the Greater Gulf region for Sanofi. This pivotal role is based in Saudi Arabia and will oversee strategic financial processes, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives while maintaining rigorous compliance with regional and international tax regulations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in financial leadership, tax strategy, and regional market expertise to drive operational excellence and sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement the A2R and Tax Compliance strategy for the Greater Gulf region, ensuring alignment with Sanofi’s global financial and operational goals. Provide visionary leadership to a high-performing team, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
• Regional Financial Oversight: Oversee the end-to-end management of accounts receivable processes, including billing, collections, credit control, and dispute resolution, to optimize cash flow and minimize financial risks across the region.
• Tax Compliance and Optimization: Lead the design and execution of tax compliance frameworks, ensuring adherence to local tax laws, international regulations, and Sanofi’s internal policies. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify tax optimization opportunities, reduce liabilities, and enhance financial efficiency.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as the primary liaison between Sanofi’s regional operations, corporate finance, and tax authorities. Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, external partners, and regulatory bodies to facilitate seamless communication and compliance.
• Risk Management and Governance: Establish robust internal controls and governance structures to mitigate financial and tax-related risks. Monitor regulatory changes and proactively adapt strategies to ensure compliance and operational resilience.
• Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of A2R and tax compliance initiatives. Prepare comprehensive reports for senior leadership, highlighting progress, challenges, and strategic recommendations.
• Team Development and Mentorship: Foster a high-performing team by providing coaching, mentorship, and professional development opportunities. Encourage a collaborative and results-driven work environment that aligns with Sanofi’s values and culture.

Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, candidates must demonstrate a proven track record in financial leadership, with at least 10 years of progressive experience in accounts receivable, tax compliance, or related fields. A strong understanding of regional tax laws, particularly within the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), is essential. The ideal candidate will hold a degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline, complemented by professional certifications such as CPA, ACCA, or CMA. Fluency in English is required, and proficiency in Arabic is highly desirable.
