Position Overview

Nahdi is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mechatronics Senior Engineer to join our dynamic team in Jeddah. In this pivotal role, you will lead the design, development, and implementation of advanced mechatronic systems, ensuring seamless integration of mechanical, electrical, and computer engineering principles. Key Responsibilities

• System Design and Development: Lead the conceptualization, design, and development of cutting-edge mechatronic systems, including robotic solutions, automated machinery, and intelligent control systems. Ensure alignment with project objectives and industry standards.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including mechanical engineers, electrical engineers, software developers, and project managers, to foster collaboration and achieve integrated solutions.
• Prototyping and Testing: Oversee the creation of prototypes, conduct rigorous testing, and refine designs to optimize performance, reliability, and efficiency. Implement continuous improvement strategies based on feedback and data analysis.
• Technical Leadership: Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers and technicians, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and professional growth within the team.
• Project Management: Manage multiple engineering projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality benchmarks. Utilize project management tools and methodologies to streamline workflows.
• Compliance and Safety: Ensure all mechatronic systems comply with relevant safety regulations, industry standards, and internal policies. Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to uphold operational safety.
• Innovation and Research: Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends in mechatronics. Propose and implement innovative solutions to enhance product performance and competitive advantage.

Qualifications and Skills

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree or higher is preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in mechatronics engineering, with at least 3 years in a senior or leadership role. Experience in the retail, healthcare, or logistics sectors is advantageous.
• Technical Proficiency: Expertise in mechatronic system design, CAD/CAM software, PLC programming, robotics, and control systems. Proficiency in programming languages such as C++, Python, or MATLAB is required.
• Leadership and Communication: Demonstrated ability to lead teams, communicate complex technical concepts clearly, and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions.
• Certifications: Relevant certifications in project management (e.g., PMP), safety standards (e.g., ISO 13849), or mechatronics (e.g., Certified Mechatronics Systems Technician) are a plus.
