QA QC Engineer

Job Overview

Saudi Pipe Systems (SPS), a leading manufacturer in the industrial piping solutions sector, is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented QA QC Engineer to join our dynamic team in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. In this critical role, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality assurance and quality control across all stages of production, from raw material inspection to final product delivery. Your expertise will be instrumental in maintaining SPS’s reputation for excellence, compliance with international standards, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Quality Assurance (QA): Develop, implement, and maintain robust quality assurance processes to prevent defects and ensure adherence to industry-specific standards, including ISO 9001, API, and ASME. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish quality benchmarks and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Quality Control (QC): Conduct rigorous inspections and tests on raw materials, in-process components, and finished products to verify compliance with specifications. Utilize advanced inspection tools, such as ultrasonic testing, radiographic testing, and dimensional analysis, to identify and resolve quality discrepancies promptly.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain meticulous records of quality control activities, test results, and non-conformance reports. Generate comprehensive reports for management, highlighting trends, risks, and opportunities for enhancement. Ensure all documentation aligns with regulatory and organizational requirements.
• Process Optimization: Analyze production processes to identify inefficiencies and propose corrective actions. Work closely with engineering and production teams to implement best practices that enhance product quality and reduce waste.
• Compliance and Audits: Ensure the organization remains compliant with local and international quality standards through regular audits and assessments. Prepare for and participate in third-party audits, including customer and regulatory inspections, to validate SPS’s commitment to quality excellence.
• Training and Development: Provide guidance and training to production staff on quality standards, inspection techniques, and quality management systems. Foster a culture of quality awareness and accountability throughout the organization.

Qualifications and Skills

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional certifications (e.g., ASQ CQE, ISO 9001 Lead Auditor) is a plus.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in quality assurance and quality control within the industrial or manufacturing sector, preferably in piping systems, oil and gas, or heavy industries.
• Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience with quality control methodologies, statistical process control (SPC), and non-destructive testing (NDT) techniques. Familiarity with quality management software and ERP systems is advantageous.
• Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities with a keen eye for detail. Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and industry standards to assess product conformity.
• Communication and Leadership: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Arabic. Proven ability to lead teams, collaborate with stakeholders, and influence organizational culture toward quality excellence.
• Certifications: Relevant certifications such as Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Certified Quality Auditor (CQA), or Six Sigma methodologies are highly desirable.
