Key Responsibilities

The Mechanical Engineer will play a pivotal role in supporting the university’s infrastructure, facilities, and academic initiatives. Your core responsibilities will include:

• System Design and Optimization: Develop, analyze, and optimize mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems, to ensure efficiency, sustainability, and compliance with international standards.
• Project Management: Oversee mechanical engineering projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely delivery, adherence to budgets, and alignment with university objectives.
• Technical Documentation: Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and reports using industry-standard software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or SolidWorks. Maintain accurate records of all mechanical systems and modifications.
• Compliance and Safety: Ensure all mechanical installations and operations comply with local regulations, safety protocols, and environmental standards. Conduct regular inspections and risk assessments to mitigate potential hazards.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:

• Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field from a recognized institution. A Master’s degree or professional certifications (e.g., PE, LEED) are highly desirable.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in mechanical engineering, with a proven track record in designing and managing complex systems. Experience in educational or institutional settings is a plus.
• Technical Proficiency: Profound knowledge of mechanical engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks, MATLAB) and familiarity with Building Information Modeling (BIM).
